Before Zippy could point out that it was still too early in their friendship to be a sarcastic bitch, it started to drizzle again and Zippy immediately headed back to the roof door. "You in or out?" She shouted at her new friend over the increasing raindrops.

"Okay," Zippy said, as the rooftop door shut behind them and they were hovering on the top of the stairs. "We need a plan. A strategy. We can't just barge in there demanding to use their good showers. Although I'm not sure many of them would protest, and it is actually something my friend Ravy would do..." Zippy pointed out, and then turned back to Sapphy.
"Any ideas?"

"Great idea," Zippy responded, leading the way down the stairs to the 2nd floor bathrooms. She hoped Skittery would be in there...
The boys bunkroom was already dark because newsies were sleeping, so Zippy tip-toed past the sleeping bunks into the bathroom. "And this is the boys' bathroom," Zippy performed, gesturing to it with her hand.
There weren't that many guys in there, except Blink, Leo, and a few others.
Leo, who was washing his face, reached for a towel and raised his eyebrow at Zippy and Sapphy, but decided to just play along. "El bano," He noted to Sapphy with a small smile.

"Ohhhhh, the bathroom!" Sapphy said with recognition. "With sinks and everything," she continued, circling the mirrors. She took a second to examine herself in one; she was still soaking wet. She took a vain moment to fix her hair.

Leo narrowed his eyes again, but didn't say anything. "Well I'm going to bed. Sleep well, muchachas." He winked at Sapphy as he headed back into the bunkroom, most of the other newsies following suit.

"Buenas noches, Leonardo," Sapphy said smoothly, winking back to him in the mirror. "So, what else do these bathrooms have?" she asked, whirling around to lean against the sink. She grinned at Zippy engagingly.

And any of the new girls.
And, well, any girl at all...
"Lemme show ya," he said. "We gots about four johns through here and, eh..." Well, the bathroom wasn't terribly big. "I think the girls' is the same upstairs. Ya prolly got a little tub like this if ya want a bath..." He pointed to something that was too small for any of the grown newsies.
