Race got out of bed very stealthily and grabbed his watch from the nightstand--just for dramatic effect, like they were timing a break-in or something--and hurried out to meet Raven. He found her in the hallway, or a dark shape that he really hoped was her, and gave her a silent nod.

Raven smirked and took his arm, tip toeing her way into the bunkroom. "You sure this is a good idea?" She whispered.
((Lol now she's questioning it!))

Race looked at her incredulously. "No! I'm sure it ain't!" he whispered back. "Why don't we just go back to bed and forget the whole thing, huh?" he suggested hopefully.

"No fucking way! I ain't backing down now," she tugged him further into the bunkroom. "Come on."

He laughed quietly. She was a character, all right.
Once they were completely surrounded by sleeping boys, he didn't dare speak anymore, even in a whisper. He pointed out the floorboard again, then stood a distance away, keeping an eye on all the bunks and especially on the door to Spot's room.

Raven nodded and then bent down, she carefully started to wedge the floorboard out of position.

Race winced at the slight creaking sound it made. One of the boys turned over in his bunk and mumbled, "Whassgoinon?" Race squinted at him in the dark. "Nothing, Freddy. Go back to sleep," he hissed. Freddy muttered something else and turned over again, already snoring.

Raven froze midlife when she'd heard Freddy turn over. She sighed with relief when he went back to sleep. Finally Raven got the floorboard free and lifted it up. She removed a medium sized brown teddy bear with a missing glass eye from the floor.
"Aww it's cute," she whispered and held it up for Race to see.

Race poked it gingerly. There was stuffing coming out under one arm. "It's falling apart," he whispered.

"If we hurt it anymore he'll really kill us." Raven held out her arms for the ragged teddy bear. "I promise I'll keep it safe." She said with a smirk.

Race glanced around one more time and shoved the bear at her. "I know nothing about this!" he reminded her firmly in a whisper, backing toward his own bunk.

Raven nodded in confirmation and shoved the bear under her shirt. "Alright Mr. Bear...you're mine." She said evilly and then smirked. She wasn't going to hurt the poor thing, she was actually thinking about fixing it up.

Race glanced at Spot's door one more time, then back at Raven. "Well," he whispered, "if we hear a lot of yelling one of these days, we'll know he went to check on it." He smirked and waved good night to her, climbing up to his bunk. Somehow he doubted whether this was the last crazy thing the two of them would do.

She laughed, "but then he'd have to admit he owns a teddy bear." she smirked at him.

"That's the beauty of it," he replied, already drifting off.
