Surprised, Specs stood up and rushed over towards Kathryn. "Why? What's wrong? What does she have?" he said in panic.

"I don't know, but if she's not getting better, she needs to go."
Kathryn pulled herself together, straightening up to her full height and looking authoritative.
"I'll go fetch the carriage. I should be back within 10 minutes."

Specs nodded, finally feeling a bit relieved after the past couple days. He was suddenly very thankful that Kathryn somehow made her way to the lodging house. Walking over towards Tag, he gently held her hand and prayed that it'd be nothing worse than a really bad cold. He missed Tag's smile and her energy. He wanted her to come back.

Kathryn returned with the carriage and her most trusted footman. She walked back into the house, making her way into the infirmary.
"Okay, let's go."

Specs gently picked up Tag, carrying her towards the carriage and stepping inside.

Kathryn sat across from them in the carriage, nervously fiddling with her buttons and her hair. Lillian was still sleeping, but not peacefully. Her face was gleaming with sweat yet she was shivering wildly. Kathryn wasn't sure why she was so anxious, for Lillian had just become her seamstress last week. But there was something about her that made Kathryn feel as if she'd known her for years. Plus, she'd made all of last years' dresses look like new again.
They arrived at the hospital, and Kathryn dashed inside to speak to someone about getting Lillian a room. The woman behind the desk knew her instantly seeing as the hospital had just held a benefit and the Van Wyck family had been gracious enough to not only attend but to donate a healthy sum of money for new equipment and such. She was able to get Lillian into a room fairly quickly.

Everything happened so fast. The next thing he knew, Kathryn was able to set up a room just for Tag. There was no doubting that Tag wasn't feeling well at this time. If she looked just fine a couple days ago, she was worse. Specs couldn't help but panic. He wanted to be by her side at all times, refusing to go sell or leave her for just a minute. Once they were situated, Specs was once again, sitting next to Tag's (better and more comfortable) bed in the hospital.

At Kathryn's insistence (and because of her constant bothering), a doctor came into examine Tag quite quickly. He did all sorts of doctor-y things and gave a hesitant diagnosis of a very bad cold. He would take some X-rays ((yeah, I don't care if they didn't have X-rays back then.)) and make a final diagnosis after that.
"I'm sorry." Kathryn said after the doctor left. "We were never properly introduced... I'm Kathryn Van Wyck." She said to Specs, holding her hand out.

Kathryn just nodded, not sure what to say.
After a few silent moments, she looked over at Ryan. "How do you know Lillian? You just live in the house, too?" Obviously there was more to their relationship since he had been glued to her side, but Kathryn wasn't one to assume. Much.

"Only for about a week or so. My old one left the shop, and Lillian took her place. I didn't know she had a boyfriend, though." Kathryn smiled a very sly smile as she looked at him. He was cute, though not her type. He didn't seem reckless enough.

"It's been a short while," said Specs shyly. "Lillian's great... her smile could brighten up all of Manhattan. I just hope she'll get better." He glanced at Lillian longingly, wishing the doctors that Kathryn had brought would bring Lillian back to her feet.

"Don't worry. The doctors here are top notch. And since Lillian's with me, she'll get the best care."
As if on cue, the doctor came back in to take Tag for some X-rays.
