"Exactly what I hoped you'd say," Sapphy grinned, pointing at Jack challengingly.
They went to Charlie's -- it was close to the lodging house and cheap. Sapphy spun on the nearest barstool and slapped the bartop enthusiastically. "Gimme whatever tastes like paint thinner," she grinned at Charlie.
