"I won't," She smirked smugly. Raven would never keep his money though, she just couldn't do it and feel good about herself.

He smirked back, collected the cards, shuffled normally this time, and dealt the next hand. And poured himself and Rae some more wine, because hey, it was there.

Raven took a sip and sighed. "My guy...never disappoints," she said with a smile and waited for Race to deal her the cards.

"You really gotta introduce me to your guy someday," Race informed her, handing over her cards and examining his hand. He paid the ante absently and sipped his wine, pondering his opening bet.

"I didn't," Raven said with a laugh and tossed her money in. "I just ...pat it sometimes. It's a love tap."

"Just one," She said and tossed him the other card, she was smirking devilishly.

"That does not look like a poker face," he said with a smirk of his own, and handed her a card. Then he wiped his face blank again. "But if you're feeling confident..." He put down another quarter.

Raven matched him, "I am." She grinned. "Extremely confident that I am kicking your ass."

Not this time, he thought, eyeing his cards with inward satisfaction as he waited for her to reveal her hand.
