Goblin considered Script's offer. "Hmm. I guess we could..." Normally, he might have actively sought out a fight with Tara--he'd always secretly kind of enjoyed the challenge of it--but he was not in the mood for her these days, which was partly why he couldn't believe she'd had the nerve to show up now.
Looking Script in the eye, he crossed his arms. "We can go for a walk if you promise to keep things friend-like. Otherwise, we're gonna come back in here and let Moonshine call you 'sugar' again." He was probably the only guy in New York who was negotiating with a girl to not try and jump his bones, but there you had it.

Moonshine arched a brow as she gulped down the drink, hoping briefly that he wasn't going to have to carry anybody home. "Want another one, Sugar?"

Script quirked a brow, an amused smirk playing at her lips. She crossed her heart solemnly with her finger. "I promise to do my best and refrain from seducing you." She held back a laugh, but her eyes were smiling.

"Yes, please." Kathryn knew she shouldn't have more than two, especially if she was going to keep a vigilant look-out for Blink -- NO. She wasn't. Blink was no matter to her. She didn't care about seeing him or him seeing her.

"That's probably for the best," Tara admitted. "I've had too much champagne once or twice, and the results were not exactly...well, I'm surprised Kathryn even speaks to me anymore after that one time. So," she went on happily, sipping her beer, "tell me about yourself, Jack. Unless you have a tragic past and wish to conceal it. In that case, you can make something up and see if I know the difference."

"Champagne huh? Don't the bubbles tickle your nose?" He asked her pretending to be serious, but ended up smiling anyways. he sighed when she asked him to tell her about himself. "Well...you sure ain't learned, newsies don't talk about their pasts, cause most of 'em will make you want to bury your face in the mud." He shrugged. "Mine ain't all that different from anybody else's. I'm an orphan, on my own, trying to make it in this stinkin' town, saving up to go out west eventually."

"Aren't you just a perfect gentleman?" She smiled brightly at him, even throwing a coy wink his way. She sipped at this drink, not wanting to completely overdo it.

He winked right back at her, drinking, leaning back against the bar casually. "Southern Kentucky, ma'am. New to the city, been here just a few days." He flashed her another smile. "Lucky for me ta have met such a pretty girl so soon."

"Good enough," Goblin said with a smirk, getting up and heading for the door with Script at his side. As he passed her stool, however, he couldn't help but tug on one of Tara's curls. They were just so unruly and tempting.
Tara spun around angrily, but he was already out of hitting distance. "Seriously?" she called after him.
"Seriously," said Goblin without turning around.
"So you're talking to me now?"
"No!"
He opened the door and headed out into the fresh air, leaving Tara to fume.
