Race stared at Risk, then Ershey. He felt like he'd be doing a lot of that tonight. "Ersh, are you gonna end up sleepwalking into the boys' room and telling me all sorts of alarming things again?"

"Race!" chuckled Ershey, playfully pushing him. "Quit it!"
"She still does that?" said Risk, looking at Race. "Er..."
Ershey shot Risk a look, which he returned with a shrug as if to say 'What'd I do?'.

Race stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk. That was the last straw. The two of them were spending a lot of time together, Mush was jealous, Risk and Ershey both seemed alternately nervous or ashamed, and now Risk knew something about her sleeping habits? Whatever denials Ershey might have made, the situation really couldn't look any worse. He turned around, arms crossed, to face them both. "Look, if there's something going on with the two of youse, you might wanna say so before this gets any more awkward."

"It's not what you think, Race," said Ershey, afraid that he thought they were sneaking around behind Mush's back.
"No, no, no," stammered Risk, shaking his head. "It's definitely not that. Geez, why does everyone think that? Can they not see any resemblance between the two of us, really??"

Race was now staring exclusively at Risk. "Wait. What?"

"Shouldn't siblings look alike?" muttered Risk in frustration.
Ershey sighed. "And here we go..."

Race looked back and forth like he was watching a really absorbing tennis match. "You're her...he's your...how did I not know this? Does Mush know? When, where, why...?" Seriously, you get caught up in a girl and the next thing you know, you've missed everything.

((Awww, Race <3 haha))
"Yes, Mush knows --"
"And he likes me!"
Ershey rolled her eyes. "Not completely."
"Well, long story short, I came here to look for my younger sister... and I found her!"
"Ta-dah?" said Ershey with a small smile.

Race stared at the two of them for another ten seconds or so, then put a hand on each of their shoulders and looked at them solemnly. "You were right...we all need to get drunk now."

"See? I told you!" grinned Risk, putting his arm around Race.
Ershey simply shrugged, figuring that they might as well. "If I get in trouble with Mush, I'm blamin' the two of you!"

"Why would you get in trouble? He's your brother!" said Race, still baffled by the whole turn of events. He managed to start walking again, however. "I gotta give you this much, Risk, you're friendlier than the last long-lost brother I met."

"There's another one around here?" chuckled Risk, excited for the rest of the night. He linked arms with Ershey and pulled her towards him. "C'mon, sis, lighten up! We're together again!"

Race chuckled. "Copper. You've met him. He was supposed to be in California, and he turned up on the Brooklyn Bridge one day when me and Sapphy were halfway across. And you'll have to ask him for the rest of that story, 'cause I'm not gonna be objective." He studied Ershey's face, wondering why she still seemed tense. Her secret was out and she wasn't cheating on Mush, so what was the problem?

"Copper's nice," smiled Ershey, finally chirping in. She noticed Race's glance, causing her to realize how quiet she'd been. "So where's this place at, hmm?"

Even though they were getting to be buddies and all, Race was starting to think he might strangle someone if he heard 'Copper's nice' from one more person. "Just 'round the corner here. 'Member, no one's allowed to pass out tonight." He led them up to the door of a run-down yet cheery little bar. Good old Charlie's.
