"Are we bettin' on that?" chuckled Ershey, shooting Risk a look.
"Hey, I'm not promising anything!" said Risk, his hands up in the air. "But I will promise you that we'll have a fun night!"

Race looked at Ershey and grinned. "It's gonna be a total disaster, ain't it?" He led the two of them into the bar nonetheless, and found them a free table.

"I'm kinda scared," muttered Ershey to Race as they sat down. Before Ershey could say another word, Risk was already ordering them a round of drinks. He'd made a detour towards the bar and became immediate friends with the bartender.

"I suddenly know how everyone feels when I ask 'em to spot me on a horse," Race told Ershey in an undertone. "We're enablers!" At least Risk was paying for his own drinks. For now.

"Drinks for everyone! No, stupid, not for you, just us!" shouted Risk as he managed to carry three beers towards the table.
((Off to sleep for me! Gnight! <3))

Race had to laugh at the random guy who had looked hopeful for a second there. "Thanks," he said, taking a beer. It wasn't Guinness--or whiskey--and it wasn't wine, so he supposed today was neither Irish nor Italian. Culture-neutral. "Cheers."
((Seriously, if you didn't go to bed, I never would. Off I go as well! 'Night, love!))

"Cheers!" yelled Risk excitedly, raising his beer in the air and toasting it with his other two companions.
"Well, here's to a fun night," laughed Ershey, throwing care to the wind.

Race joined in the toast and took a long swig of beer. "So, uh...how long since you two saw each other?" he asked, curious to hear the whole story behind this long-lost-sibling business.

"Two days?" answered Ershey after taking a swig of her beer. It was crazy how fast things changed since she moved to the lodging house. She wasn't too sure if that was a good thing or not.
"It's all 'cause of Wraith! I asked her to help but I didn't think she'd actually find you!"

"Wraith the weird girl who likes to hide?" Race asked, trying to follow the conversation. He wasn't sure he'd ever even set eyes on that kid, just heard about her. He took another gulp of beer. "Anyway, it must be great being reunited and all."

"You found out from Wraith?" repeated Ershey, quite shocked that Alec hadn't simply asked around. Why did he need her to do that in the first place?
"Well, uh... I owe her, that's all," shrugged Risk, hoping that they didn't think too much of it. Revealing that he worked as a cop would be a different story for another time. "Y-yeah, I haven't seen Adrianne here in forever!"
Ershey rolled her eyes. "Forever?"
"I didn't even recognize you, alright? 'Sides, it's so hard to get to you with all those people in the way!"

"People in the way?" Race was becoming more baffled by the second. He finished his drink and just kind of sat back and watched the two of them like they were a fascinating vaudeville show.

Ershey shot Risk a look and punched him on the shoulder. "Alec!"
"Ow! Sorry, I wasn't thinking!"
"Well, obviously!" muttered Ershey under her breath. She sighed before turning to Race. "I was doin' other work before I was a newsie..." She wondered whether he'd put the pieces together from what he gathered about Ericson.

"Oh," said Race blankly. He didn't get the reference, but he could see from her look that there was some kind of reference to get, and he thought it best not to pursue it further. "Well...you're both here now! So we should celebrate! I'll buy the next round." He got up and did so, getting into a brief discussion with Charlie the bartender about where Race's good buddy Copper might be on this fine autumn night.

Once Race was gone, Ershey began forcefully (and somewhat playfully) hitting Risk on the shoulder out of annoyance. "You... really... haven't... changed!" she said with each hit.
"W-wait, hey! You haven't either!" crouched Risk, putting his hands up against Ershey in an attempt to shield himself. "Race, we need more alcohol!" He thought she was starting to relax but maybe she just needed a couple more beers...
