Once the song ended, Specs led her back outside, aching for some time with her. He hadn't realized how much he liked her until now and he wanted to be honest with her.

"Just outside," smiled Ryan, leading her towards the small garden nearby. He hesitantly held her hand, looking around to make sure that no one else was around and spotted a nearby bench. "Having fun?"

"Yeah," she replied, laughing softly. "More fun than I ever thought I'd have at prom." She smoothed her dress over her knees before noticing how chilly it was. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest, hugging herself.

"Thanks," she said softly, somewhat shyly. She slipped her arms through the sleeves; it smelled like Ryan, and that made her heart skip a couple of beats.

"Did I say thank you already for tutoring me?" he teased, smiling shyly. He always teased her about returning the favor, especially when he brought up their attempted dinner date.

Specs looked her in the eye, taking in how beautiful she looked. She always looked beautiful, with or without the fancy makeup or dress... and that's what he liked about her. That was it. That's what he wanted to say.
"I like you, Lillian," he said softly, gently taking her hand.

"I would've wanted to tell you when I took you out for dinner," he smirked, nudging her gently. "Either way... you've been now deemed the hottest girl in school, especially after winning Prom Queen. So, I want you all to myself now!"
