He started at the reminder of another person in the room. "I will."
After spending a fairly long time among the articles, however, he couldn't ignore the unrelated ones even after he put them back. No wonder she was depressed. "Don't you ever throw in a happy one just to balance things out?"

"Once in a while there's a kitten getting rescued from a tree or something," he muttered, still reading. Those headlines certainly didn't sell, but they helped relieve the constant gloom. That or just getting used to it. "Thanks for these," he said at last, taking the articles he'd found and closing her trunk. "I'll bring 'em back later if you want." Though he was still somewhat confused about why she wanted any of them.

He gave her one last thoughtful look, picked up the articles, and headed out of the room, with Tag's kitten running along at his heels. Sapphy was probably one of the oddest people he'd ever met, but he wasn't about to turn down help wherever he could find it.
