"Yeah," he agreed, profoundly relieved, "they would." He glanced doubtfully at Sapphy. Right now she didn't even look like she could set foot outside, let alone play a difficult part in a dangerous mission. But it was her call.
((Haha, Monk Eastman is the leader, but Alex could totally get involved somehow.))

Sapphy's eyes bore into Goblin's, thinking about what this could mean for her. She wasn't stupid -- she knew stories about girls joining gangs or who knows what else this Eastman guy was doing...
She swallowed and glanced away for a second, thinking about Race and Copper. They'd be pissed. ...But in a darker part of her mind, it'd be time to avoid them which is what she wanted more than anything right now.
"...Okay. I'll do it," she said, looking back at Goblin.

He'd almost expected her to say that. He just didn't know if it was a remotely good idea for her to go through with it. "Well...I know you're not doing it for me, but...thanks," he said after a moment, looking at Risk for final confirmation. Any second now, someone was going to ask what he planned to do with himself, and that would be his least favorite part of this meeting.

"Right," nodded Risk. "I'll go find Eastman by myself first... see how things are before I bring you in. Drag them in by saying I have a new recruit, then have you come with me next time. You gotta distract them, Sapphy, especially while I'm asking around and figuring things out... other than that, we'll just be taking in everything."

Wraith stiffened. "If you're putting her in that kind of situation, I'm gonna be hiding nearby with a shotgun," she said bluntly.
"I'm not! I mean, it shouldn't come to that," Goblin stammered. "And you should, Clara. Hide nearby, I mean, although I don't know where you're gonna get a shotgun. I don't want any of this to get out of hand," he said with a sigh. But it always did somehow.

Trust Script to bring it up. He took a deep breath. "I...well, I kind of have to get arrested. Again." He turned to Script. "And you have to find a way to get me out."
"Uh..." Wraith cleared her throat. "I think I'd be a lot better at tha..." She trailed off when her brother glared at her.
"Even if you find a way to deal with the gang," he explained to the group, "the Refuge staff'll do everything they can to keep the place open without their funding. They're too damn greedy to lose all the money the government hands 'em without a fight. So I've got to get something on them, something even this city can't ignore."

He had a feeling that the truth--'My sister's getting me out, and this is just a pathetic ploy to keep you out of this whole mess'--wouldn't go over too well. Especially when she was absolutely right. But for once, he didn't care about the plan...or at least, he didn't want to care about it. "Maggie, you didn't even grow up in New York. The worst thing you've ever done is steal pre-consecrated holy wine. You don't know anything about this place. I'll find someone else." Because girls were just lining up to volunteer for this kind of thing.

He looked around at the others as if for some kind of help, then back at Maggie. He took a leaf out of her book of nervous gestures and bit his lip. "All right, fine. We'll do it together. But we're gonna be really, really careful. Paranoid levels of careful. And Clara--"
"I'll get you out!" Wraith assured him. "Even if Risk can't help this time. I can sneak in and out of anywhere, Seb, I will get you out." Goblin nodded, looking only somewhat reassured.
