Kathryn would have offered to look after him, but she wasn't so good with babies... They were cute and all, but once they started crying, Kathryn felt like crying herself. With annoyance.
"I'm sure I could help you find someone..." she offered instead, raising her eyebrows as she looked at Raven.

"You don't have to do that, I'll find someone." Raven noticed Sean had his about to scream look on his face and started swaying back and forth with him.
"Is your grandmother alright? I haven't been seeing her much lately?"

"Oh, yes, she's fine. She's just tired," Kathryn replied, shrugging and waving it off with her hand. "We had a gala last night, she probably had too much to drink."

Raven laughed and then shook her head. Of course at that moment Mrs. Ellyson decided to grace them with her presence. She shuffled into the room and took a seat in front of Kathryn.
"I did not have too much to drink...they were merely strong." She looked at her grandaughter with a mischevious glint in her eye. "please bring me some fresh tea," she said to Rae.
Raven immediately turned to leave the room.
"Dear, leave him here..." She waved Raven over and then scooped Sean up out of her arms. "Now go, go" she waved Rae off and then held a cookie up to Sean's face as he settled in on her lap.

Kathryn smiled as she watched her grandmother with little Sean; she couldn't help but think that she had also been this way with her when she was a baby. She took a sip of her tea before pulling her feet back up underneath her, creating a cocoon for herself with her night gown.

Mrs. Ellyson smiled at Kathryn as she brushed crumbs off of Sean's cheek. "Don't tell your mother I'm feeding you sweets." She said to him and Sean looked at her sternly, seeming to agree.
"My dear, were you making friends with the staff?" Mrs. Ellyson asked Kathryn with a sneaky smile.

Mrs. Ellyson laughed, "It's fine, she's around your age and probably has a better head on her shoulders than your dillwitted society friends. Poor girl's raising a child all on her own." Sean clapped his hands together and squealed. Grandma Ellyson fed him another cookie.

Kathryn could feel her cheeks flushing as she bit her lip to suppress a smile. "He's honest and kind...he really makes me laugh. And he has gorgeous blonde hair."

Her grandmother smiled at her, "You really like him don't you? Well what your father doesn't know won't kill him. You're young, enjoy your life."
Raven came back at that moment with the hot tea and set it down in front of Mrs. Ellyson. She glanced at Sean who had crumbs all over his mouth.
"Did you feed him sugar cookies?"
"Absolutely not, he is much too young for all that sugar." Sean giggled and waved his arms. Raven raised a brow. "Possibly a small piece, or two."

Kathryn covered her mouth to hide a giggle. She literally had the coolest grandmother in the world.

Raven shook her head, "God help me, he'll be up all night," Raven said quite dramatically. She poured Mrs. Ellyson's tea for her.
The old woman smiled at her, "he's a sweet boy." She kissed Sean's cheek and he blinked in surprise.
"He's playing you for a fool. He'll make you love him and then like that," Raven snapped her fingers, "he turns on ya."
