Fire looked down at her friend and slowly shook her head. "No," she promised, her voice soft, "I'm going to be here for a long while."

"Good," Nevada said, stepping to kiss her cheek again, "I'll go," She said, stepping away and walking towards the fire escape.

Fire had to try her hardest not to pull back when Nevada kissed her on the cheek again. "Well, okay..." she said quietly as she followed her over to the fire escape. "Be careful, okay? Please?"

"I'm always careful!" Nevada assured her. Well....she wasn't ALWAYS careful but Fire didn't have to know that. "Please come by soon, meet Mikey and Lucy. Please?" she asked softly.

"If you don't show up soon we're all coming over, I hope that's okay with you." She said before descending the stairs. Hopefully Tristan wouldn't be too cross with her.

"Goodnight Firecracker," She said before reaching the bottom and scampering off towards Brooklyn.

"Goodnight, Nevada," Fire called after her. She lingered on the fire escape until the other girl was no longer in her sight. Quietly, she slipped inside the girls' bunkroom window and made her way back to bed.
