"How many times have I told you not to call me that, it's Rae. Please. When you call me Mrs. Conlon I feel ninety," Raven said and blew some hair out of her eyes.
"Mama, can Li Li eat dinner with us?" Connor said with a huge smile.
"Sure, I got enough," Raven said with a shrug. "Let your parents know." She said to Jaqueline, "we eat at 6."
"Where's Lina?" Sean asked, kind of concerned. His sister was not exactly a saint.
"Home, punished...everything's locked don't worry." Raven said.

She was just about to hand back Connor to run home, when she saw one of Jimmy's men eyeing her from across the way. She met his gaze and he nodded. She sighed, half annoyed. "Don't worry, they probably already know."

"Alright then come on home with me, grab a bag." Raven had no problem treating Jaqueline just like she treated the rest of her kids, like kids. She shoved a bag into her hands and turned to head back to Brooklyn. Connor held tight to Jaqueline's hands.
"Mama's making meatballs." He said.
"Sean!"
"On it ma," Sean said with a laugh and then turned in the opposite direction, heading toward the alleyway.

Jacqueline squeezed Connor's hand, carrying one of Rae's bags on her hip as they walked. "Meetballs, huh? Sounds amazing. Your mama cooks even better than mine." She sent the little boy a wink.

"Course she does, she's Italian," Connor said and rolled his eyes, like DUH Jackie.
Raven laughed, "Oh really? You better make sure Gypsy don't hear that," She said.
Patrick glanced over his shoulder and then kissed his mother on the cheek. "be home by 6."
"No later or I'll tan your ass," She said and Patrick slipped down the alleyway.

She laughed, then glanced back at Patrick and Sean's retreating figures. "Where are they going?"

"Business." Raven said, "Don't worry about it. They'll be back for dinner." And of course Rae was right. Everyone ate dinner together and laughed, Connor made spaghetti come out of his nose which made Rae yell at him and Spot laugh. Soon Lina was helping to clean the dishes with her mother in the kitchen.
Sean retreated to the fire escape to smoke and cigarette and Patrick...well who know where Patrick went.

Jacqueline helped take the dishes to the sink, but Rae waved her off when she offered to do dishes, so she went out onto the fire escape to find Sean. "Hey."

"Hey," Sean said back and took a drag of his smoke, leaning against the wrought iron railing. He was quiet for a second and then looked over at her, "Why you like hanging around my family?" He asked her bluntly.

She arched her brow at him. "What? I'm not allowed to?" She shrugged, then answered honestly. "It gets boring when you're an only child. I like having all these people around, there's always somebody to talk to."

Sean smirked, "Yeah...ain't got no shortage of craziness in this house." He rested his boot against the brick wall and sighed. As if on cue Rae and Spot's voices raised from the kitchen, both of them screaming at each other about some nonsense and then they were laughing.

She smiled a little. Her parents were just as weird, though not nearly as loud. Then she looked over at him. "Do you not like me hangin' around or something?"

"I didn't say that, I was just wondering." He said with a smirk. "I mean it ain't like there's any girls for you to gossip with. Lina's too young for that. I just thought you'd hang around Lucy more." He shrugged. He tossed his cigarette off the fire escape.
"By the way...you ever feel real lonely, borrow Connor. We could use a break." Sean grinned.

She smirked. "Oh, Connor's adorable. He soften's you guys up." She shrugged, moving to sit, dangling her legs over the side of the landing. "Lucy's okay, I guess. I go over there, too, sometimes. Mikey flirts with me every chance he gets." She smirked.
