"A pros and cons list..." she said, as if it were obvious. "I think we should really talk about this." But that was Lillian for you. She was all about lists, organization, and planning.

He sighed, rolling his eyes. "Fine. Under 'Pros' put 'I love ya.' There. We're done." Tyler was the exact opposite of Lillian when it came to planning. He was more of a 'go in with guns blazing and wing it' kind of guy.

She wrote it down, pursing her lips. "Tyler, be serious. There are obvious issues we need to work out if we're going to get back together..."

He sighed again, leaning his head against the back of the couch. "Lillian. What obvious issues are those?"

"Hmm, maybe the fact that we can't go a week without having some kind of argument?" she pointed out, raising an eyebrow over at him.

He pinched the bridge of his nose with his good hand. "Ya really expect a relationship where we just get along all the time? D'ya even want that? Just 'cause we argue don't mean it's a bad relationship, Lil."

"I just... I don't want the same thing to happen again. If we don't change something, we'll end up the same way we did six weeks ago." The kettle started whistling, so she put the pen and paper down and went into the kitchen to make her tea.

He stayed on the couch, staring at the ceiling. "Baby, we just gotta talk more is all. And not get so mad we get stubborn." He didn't want to lose her again.

She came back momentarily, setting her mug on the coffee table carefully, then sitting closer to him, curling her legs up underneath her. "Okay, well, we need to make sure we do that. If anything is bothering either one of us, we just have to tell the other. I know that's something I need to work on..." her voice trailed as she looked down at her lap.

He snorted. "Yeah, ya do. Things get under yer skin, but ya hold it in, and then next thing I know yer exploding at me over something dumb."

She winced, unable to meet his gaze. "I'm sorry about that... But I grew up around that. My parents, they love each other and they love me. But they're British. They don't talk about their feelings."

"Well, Sugar, I'm Southern, and we do. We also yell about shit that pisses us off, but then we get over it. We don't hold grudges."

She let out a chuckle, looking over at him pointedly. "You're saying you won't hold a grudge against Ben?"

He frowned at that, looking at her. "Are ya gonna get rid a' him?"

"Of course I am!" she cried, swatting at his good arm. "I'll call him tomorrow. Geez, what kind of a girl do you think I am?!" she shook her head, smiling over at him.
