"Anyone who loves zoos is considered classy to me," Zippy responded, turning her body towards him.

He swallowed, looking down at her. She was awfully, awfully close to him. "Well...then I guess I'm classy..."

"You got that over other guys," Zippy pointed out, noticing his eyes were blue. A really pretty shade of blue. "I can guarantee you that neither Jack, Spot or Tristan has any class."

He smiled a little crookedly, meeting her eyes, one hand playing with her hair. "So...that works in my favor then."

Zippy suddenly wanted to kiss him, the urge catching her off guard.
She didn't usually go for the nice guys.
She turned away, blushing a bit, and stood up. "I, uhh, gotta get back to sell the evening edition," Zippy cleared her throat, and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

His face fell. For a second, he was sure she was going to kiss him. "Oh. Yeah, of course." He cleared his throat, moving to stand up.

"You gonna sell too? Or do you have to go home for dinner or something?" Zippy asked as they made their way out of the zoo.

"I could sell." He glanced over at her. "We could sell together. If you wanted to."

"Um..." Zippy hesitated. "I don't know, Dave."

He winced. Of course she wouldn't want to. She was probably tired of him hanging around, anyway. "Right. Sure. No problem. I, uh, I can leave you alone."

"No, Dave, I didn't mean it like that. I just....don't really want you to see me sell, that's all." Zippy offered, embarrassed. "I want to see you again."

He blinked, confused. "Why would you not want me to see you sell?"

"Because....c'mon Dave, please force your mind through family dinners and ducks at the pond." Zippy begged, not sure how else to phrase it.

He blinked. "I...have no idea what you're talking about."

Zippy rolled her eyes. "I flirt with the men leaving Madame Barry's to get them to buy my papers. Twas why I have issues with the morning edition- not as many customers in the mornings." She shrugged. "I don't want you to see me like that." She frowned, a bit unhappy she had to lay it all out for him.
