[Kathryn]

It was then that Kathryn realized how tired she was. She'd been kidnapped, drugged and knocked unconscious, dumped in a cellar, and forced to fight her way out of it, all within the the past twelve hours or so.

She grabbed onto Leo's arm as she felt her body sway. She was tired and weak and hungry. Not a good combination.

[Leo]

Leo didn't feel all that much better than her, but gave her a look of concern all the same, wrapping his arms steadily around her.

"And Alexander...can you please make us something to eat?" Alex nodded and Leo began to lead her inside. "Shower, Bed, or Food?" he asked her, opening up the door.

[Kathryn]

She let out a soft groan, trying to focus as best she could. "Can't I have all three?" she replied finally, chuckling softly.

[Leo]

"How about you shower while Alexander finishes up cooking?" he suggested warmly, opening up his bedroom and leading her to his bathroom. "Alex can wash your clothes for you as well." he added, eyeing the blood stains on her clothes.

[Kathryn]

She nodded before beginning to take the pins out of her hair. How they had stayed in this whole time, she would never know. She'd have to tell her maid about this.

[Leo]

Leo cleared his throat and began to back out of the bathroom awkwardly. "towels are below the sink."

[Kathryn]

"Thank you," she said with a small nod. Once he was out of the bathroom, she turned on the faucet and took a nice, long, hot shower.

Once she was finished, she found a bathrobe hanging on the door and slipped into it, rolling up the sleeves and toweling off her hair. She stepped out of the bathroom, looking around for Leo. "Leo?" she called, combing her fingers through her wet locks.

[Leo]

Leo was in the kitchen, sitting on a chair with his shirt off, and eating a sandwich with one hand, and icing his bruised ribs with the other. Alexander was fussing over every wound on Leo's body next to him.

When Kathryn walked in, Alex quickly got up and handed her a plate with sandwich and chips on it.

[Kathryn]

She smiled at Alexander, thanking him softly for the food. Then she sat down next to Leo, trying not to think about how she looked right now. She'd much rather think about how Leo looked...which was, at the moment, ruggedly attractive and extremely sexy.

[Leo]

"you doing okay?" Leo asked her, reaching for her hand. "you look a lot better after that shower."

[Kathryn]

She laughed, shaking her head. "I must have looked worse than I thought," she replied, squeezing his hand. She loved the feel of her fingers in his; it felt right.

[Leo]

"You always look beautiful," Leo said to her, smiling and finishing off his sandwich. Alexander came over, and refilled his glass with water.

"The mayor sent a message back. He would like Kathryn home immediately."

[Kathryn]

"Just tell him I'm testing and I'm not to be disturbed," she replied immediately, trying not to sound too annoyed. She took a big bite of her sandwich, not planning on going anywhere.

[Leo]

Alexander looked at Leo, who nodded. He rolled his eyes and sent a message to the mayor.

Leo glanced down at his empty plate and stood up, groaning uncontrollably from the pain. "I think...I'll shower too. Maybe take a hot bath." he felt bad about leaving Kathryn but his whole body was aching.

[Kathryn]

"Sounds like a good idea," she replied, smiling up at him. "I'll just finish up here and...take a nap."
