"Yeah you still get to punch him," Raven half smiled at him and then sighed heavily. "It's so hard now...when I'm around him. Like, he's right there but so far away because we're not together. I refused to let myself give in and I'm torturing myself, but then I think I'm doing it because what if he takes off on us again? Then what do I do? Sean'll be older and I'll have to explain to him what his father did. I don't know what the hell to do...I love him. I just do and I'm stupid," She shoved another forkful of Spaghetti into her mouth and chew ferociously. "I could kill him." She grumbled with a mouth full of food.
Sean tried desperately to reach for the fork, he really wanted some more and his mom was not getting the memo. "AH!" He screeched.

"Aw, c'mere," Race said, swooping Sean out of her lap again and feeding him a generous forkful of pasta. "Mommy's feeling a little distracted, that's all. It's your daddy's fault," he added evilly, trying to figure out what to say to Rae.
"Look, you know you're gonna take him back. 'Cause you always do. And the two of youse have this whole...twisted, angry, epic love thing going on that I honestly don't get and prob'ly never will. But when you do take him back, just let him know that if he takes off again, that's it, it's over. Tell him he won't ever see you or Sean again. If that ain't enough to keep him by your side, he ain't worth keeping."

((a little distracted LOL))
"Great to see you have so much faith in me, but you're right," She sighed heavily. "It's really sick ain't it? Our relationship...it ain't never been easy and it never will be either." Raven fiddled with her napkin and then smiled. "Will you think less of me?"

Race wanted to talk her out of it, tell her she could do better, but what good would it do? She'd tried out at least four other guys since Spot left, all of them pretty decent as far as he knew, and none of them had made her forget Spot. "Nah," he said at last. "Only if you don't make his life miserable whenever he deserves it." He smirked at her.

"That's be really easy," She said with a smirk. Raven reached across the table and gave his hand a squeeze. "However, if you don't punch him I will be disappointed in you." She grinned.

"Oh, I promise," he assured her, feeding Sean another mouthful with his free hand, then twirling the last of his own spaghetti. "Just try and get this all sorted out by Christmas, huh? Otherwise poor Sean's first Christmas will be all awkward and he'll be scarred for life."

Raven laughed, "He won't even remember it. It'll work itself out....and I kinda want him to beg a little bit. I think I deserve some begging. After the begging I can fuck his brains out." She shrugged and ate more spaghetti.

"Which I don't need to hear about," Race told her firmly, knowing that he would probably hear all about it anyway. Their friendship had always been kind of lacking in boundaries.

Raven smiled brightly and then reached over to wipe sauce from Sean's face. "You look full, my adorable baby boy." Sean smiled at her, lazily resting against his uncle Race.

"I'd say Operation Spaghetti was a success," Race said solemnly, looking down at the sleepy baby in his arms. "Now, if we just dash out before the bill comes..."
"I heard that!" Sophia yelled from the kitchen.
Race grinned. "Just teasing, Sophie! I've got money!"

Raven burst out laughing, "You're not paying. I don't wanna hear it. I invited you along," Raven took out her money.
Sean's eyes were slowly closing and he stuck his thumb in his mouth.

"Then we're splitting it," he announced, pulling out his own money--that was how things usually ended up anyway. He smirked down at Sean and whispered, "Look, he's starting to give in." He knew how much that kid hated to fall asleep.

"I know, which is why I'm trying to be quiet," She said and carefully counted out the money to put on the table.
Sean blinked, fighting his closing eyes and then soon he was asleep, his breathing even.
"The spaghetti has officially worked miracles."

Race carefully counted out his own half of the money and then looked at Sean. "What do I do?" he whispered. "Will he wake up if I get up really slowly?"

"I'll take him," she said. Raven got up from her seat and carefully lifted Sean from Race's lap. She turned him so his head rested against her shoulder.
