"Thanks," she smiled, taking the popcorn as they walked inside the theater and looked for seats. Adri headed for the top row, grinning widely once she saw that the middle seats were empty.

Eli took a seat next to her, hesitating a for a moment before placing an arm over her shoulders.

Adri smiled shyly over at him as she moved closer to him. It was oddly comfortable to be that close to him. "Popcorn?" she grinned, offering him the bag.

Eli hesitated but took a small handful. "so..can you believe i punched Matt?"

Adri smirked. "And gave him a bloody nose? The guy can't even look at you in the eye," she chuckled softly before winking playfully at him. "Thanks again for doing that."

"I had no idea I had that in me. I feel awful about it, even though he deserved it," Eli remarked, glancing at her. "people at school know about it."

"That you punched him?" said Adri, quirking an eyebrow at him. She wasn't surprised, considering she was sure that Eli most likely left a mark on Matt's face after that night. "They aren't saying bad things, are they? You know how rumors get around school..."

"I don't know. When people ask me about it I tell em I don't wanna talk about it," Eli told her as the lights dimmed. "do you know what Matt is telling people?"

Adri chuckled softly, smiling as she watched the trailers begin. She couldn't help but wonder if he was just as nervous as she was too.

Eli was nervous all right. More so than he'd ever been in his life. He tried to enjoy the movie though, feeling a bit more comfortable as the minutes passed.

Placing the empty popcorn bag on the floor, Adri glanced over at Eli before leaning closer to lean her head on his shoulder. Who knew Batman could be so romantic?

Eli kissed the top of her head, and held her closer. It was dark in the theater, and for some reaosn that gave him more courage than he was used to.

Adri felt her heart skip a beat, glad that it was dark so that he wouldn't see her cheeks blush.
