She let her hand rub his back gently. "Hey, don't mention it. It's Christmas. Guess I'm just in the spirit."

"So, that means that once Christmas is over, you're going to pretend like none of this ever happened?" He asked, grinning just a little bit. "I mean, nothing wrong with that if you do, but I'd just like the warning."

Trixie rolled her eyes and pinched his arm. "Silly goose, don't be ridiculous."

"Heyyy!!" He half-squealed, trying to jerk his arm back after she pinched him. "It was a joke!" He laughed and reached for her side, tickling it lightly. "I wasn't serious!"

She squeaked, trying to turn away from him, giggling as he tickled her. "So was I!"

He laughed at her reaction and slowly withdrew his hand. "Alright, but I've got my eye on you," he grinned, his eyebrow arching. "Keep that in mind."

She sent him a coy little smile. "Hm, do you now?"

"I might, I might not," he answered with a playful shrug. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth; he was never the best at keeping a straight face when trying to play it cool with a girl. No matter how hard he tried, he always found himself with the same dumb half-smile on his face. "I guess you'll never know, will you?"
((Ugh. Off to work with me! Sadface. :/ I'll catch you later! <3))

She smirked a little, not saying anything right away. She just reached a hand up to trace the shell of his ear. "Guess not."

Nate bit down lightly on his lower lip, his ear tingling from where she had traced it with her fingertips. He exhaled slowly, trying not to smile. "Your hands are soft," he whispered softly, his voice barely audible.

She smiled a little, looking up at him, something a little mischevious behind her eyes. "Thanks for noticin'," her voice soft when she spoke.

"It's kind of hard not to notice, if you don't mind me saying so," Nate remarked casually before lifting his hand up to push the hair from his eyes. He glanced up at the window before looking back over at Trixie. "Moon's awful bright tonight, don't you think?"

She dropped her hands to her lap, watching him, then meeting his eyes. "Yeah, it is. It's a Wishin' Moon."

"A wishing moon?" Nate asked, his forehead wrinkled as he looked over at her. "I can't say I've ever heard of that before..."

She laughed. "You're gonna think I'm crazy. This one time, at Coney Island, I went to one a' those fortune tellers. She said a Wishin' Moon is a full moon that comes around one of the...what are they called...solstices! Yeah, the solstice. Ain't it almost the Winter one or whatever?" She grinned at him. "Anyway, she said to make a wish on the moon for a better future."
