"Okay," she headed into the bunk room and got Sean all nice and settled into bed.

Nate walked into the kitchen to make himself a sandwich. He kept an ear out, just in case Rae happened to call for him. He wasn't expecting her to, to be completely honest, since she was more than capable of taking care of her own son... but he kept an ear out nonetheless.

Raven appeared in the kitchen a moment later and leaned against one of the counters. "Oh that looks good. I think I'll make one," she stepped beside Nate and started to make herself a sandwich.

"Hungry?" He asked with a grin before casually taking a bite from his sandwich. "If I knew you wanted one, I woulda done it while you were getting Sean in bed."

"Just a little," she said as she made her sandwich, "it's okay, I didn't say anything and honestly didn't know I wanted anything till I saw you eating." she smiled. When she finished putting her sandwich together she took a bite.

"Oh, well, I can't fault you on that, then," Nate grinned. He set the sandwich down and pulled himself up onto the counter so he was sitting on top of it. He picked the sandwich up and took another bite. He glanced down at Rae and smiled, it wasn't often that they had time without Sean. "This is kinda nice," he laughed. "I mean, this. Just you and me."

"Different too huh?" she said to him, "Sean sort of takes over my life sometimes." she admitted to him with a shrug and took a bite of her own sandwich.

"It's different, but I kinda like 'em both," Nate said with a shrug as he leaned forward on the countertop, his elbows coming to rest on his knees. "It's not all bad that he takes over your life though, ya know? At least you're taking care of him and not out doing something worse."

"That's true, but I can get a little obsessive," She said with a laugh and took another bite of her sandwich.

"Obsessive over what?" He asked, his eyebrows arching. Sean? Her baby's father? Other things? There were a wide variety of things out there to obsess over. He shrugged, finishing off his sandwich. "Well, it can't be all bad."

"You know, making sure he's okay, he's not sick that he's warm enough or some other stuff, meanwhile the poor kid could be sweating bullets and I'm going I hope he ain't cold," She said with a laugh.

"Oh, yeah, makes sense," Nate laughed. "That's kind of a good thing though -- it shows you care."

"Or that I'm completely crazy?" she remarked with a laugh.

"Or that," he laughed, "but I think it's mostly because you care. Some mothers are crazy, but don't care, you know? So they don't sit they're worryin' about whether or not their kids are too cold or if they're okay while they're asleep. Stuff like that. That's more caring than crazy."

She smiled at him and scooted a little closer. "You really are too sweet for your own good."
