Ready to go? (c)

[Nate]

Nate walked down the hallway to the girls' bunkroom. He leaned gently against the doorframe, his arms crossing loosely over his chest. "Knock knock," he called playfully into the room, waiting to get the go-ahead to enter.

[raven]

((Hopefully this is for me))

"Hey!" Raven called with a smile when she saw Nate. She was currently in process of changing Sean who was squirming and rocking from side to side.

[Nate]

((of course! ))

"Sean's giving you trouble, isn't he?" Nate asked with a laugh as he quietly walked into the room. He wove is way in between the bunks before reaching Rae's, his arm leaning against the top bunk. "How long has he been fighting with you to change this time?"

[raven]

"It seems like hours, but probably five minutes." Raven grabbed his ankles and straightened him out. Sean squealed and kicked. "Ugh." She groaned. "Sean you can't stay with a pee pee diaper and you can't go naked." She put her hands on her hips and watched as her son happily kicked his legs.

[Nate]

Nate looked down at Sean and laughed softly, his head shaking. "He really is stubborn," he observed playfully. He turned his attention to Rae and gave her a playful pout before reaching for her hand. "Did you try distracting him?"

[raven]

"How am I gonna distract him? I gotta use my hands to change him." She said, narrowing her eyes and pouting. "Ugh he is just like his father, stubborn to all hell."

Sean laughed.

[Nate]

Nate laughed and, carefully, crouched down so he was eye level with Sean. "Why do you gotta give your mom such a hard time, huh?" he asked with a smirk. "She's only tryin' to help you out, little man."

He briefly glanced back up at Rae. "Wanna try this again?"

[raven]

Sean smiled, hands in his mouth. This Nate guy wasn't half bad, he could tolerate him.

"Yeah, I guess." Raven worked at lightening speed this time while Nate was distracting Sean. She opened the diaper, cleaned up Sean's mess and then had him rewrapped all in about two minutes.

"YES!" She cheered.

[Nate]

Nate pulled his attention away from Sean just long enough to see that Raven had successfully changed him. He laughed and shook his head with amusemen. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" he said to the baby before carefully standing back up.

"Does he always give you such a hard time?" He asked, stepping closer to Raven.

[raven]

"Yeah, with everything except eating. Sleeping is a nightmare and he hates taking a bath," she sighed and looked down at her son who was busy smiling at something and drooling.

[Nate]

"I'm sorry," he said with a slight frown. He slipped his hands into his pockets and took it upon himself to sit down on the bottom bunk next to Raven's. "You're doin' a good job though, I mean, by yourself," he added, hoping that his encouragement would do at least some good.

"Are we ready to go, or does Sean still need a few things?"

[raven]

"Nope we're ready," Raven scooped Sean up into her arms and deftly yanked his blue sweater on him. Sometimes Rae amazed herself at how fast she did things.

She leaned down and kissed Nate on the forehead. "Thanks by the way, it means a lot."

[Nate]

"For what?" Nate asked with a playful grin. He slowly rose to his feet and slipped his arm around her shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. "I didn't do anything a decent guy wouldn't do."

"Right, Sean?" he laughed, watching them. "See? He agrees! Don't you, little man?"

[raven]

Sean laughed and clapped his hands, "Hi hi!" he cheered.

Raven laughed and shook her head, "Exactly you're a decent guy."

[Nate]

"Hi hi, yourself!" Nate laughed, his face instantly lighting up at Sean's reaction to him. he always did like kids.

"Well, I try to be decent, anyway, despite what people may say," he teased, winking playfully. "Do, umm, do you need me to carry anything? Your arms have gotta get tired carrying everything around all the time."
