Eli shrugged. "they want the right to vote. Own property. Things like that." Eli informed him.

"That's silly," Pasha laughed. "Own property? How will they pay for it?" The whole idea of 'women's rights' seemed more than just a little ridiculous to him. He listened to Eli's explanations with intrigue, all while making a mental note to keep his sister from any girl who might put these ideas into her head.

((haha oh god)))
"You're in America now, comrade," Eli wrapped up, with a large sigh. "You wanna get an American woman, you gotta treat her like an equal. With respect, too."

((haha! what can I say? He's very set in his ways...))
"I can respect a girl, yes," Pasha assured him quickly, "but it is the man's responsibility to care for her, and later the family. How can he do this if she is doing everything on her own? That, I do not understand."

"Oh, plenty of women want to be taken care of," Eli assured him, with a smile. "But they want to be able to take care of themselves if they so choose."

"Girls are confusing things," Pasha finally decided, laughing loudly. "They want power, but still to be taken care of. That is like wanting a family, but no children!"

((omg this is cracking me up))
Eli wasn't sure if he understood that. "Well don't you wanna be taken care of? hell, I wanna find a woman to take care of me."

((haha me too! Pasha's like "women's rights? Whatever. Women have the right to make me a sandwich."))
"I want to be taken care of, yes," Pasha nodded, "but women take care of their men by keeping everything in order in the home, yes?" He paused, his forehead wrinkling as he continued to wrap his head around this entire conversation. "How can this happen if they are out, voting and being powerful and buying land?" He laughed, a funny thought coming to him. "What is next? Girls wearing pants?"

((*dies* half the female characters would punch Pasha))
Eli cracked a smile. "Lots of newsgirls do! They cant afford dresses, or their dresses get ruined and the only clothes they can find are hand-me-down pants in the LH." Eli told him, chuckling. "You probably have seen girls at the LH but thought they were guys!"

((haha ohhh, I know! He can be a charmer when he *wants* to be. Honestly, I think he's just unnecessarily hard on his sister, but every other girl can do whatever they want, for the most part. He's a bit of a control freak, not gonna lie!))
"To be completely honest, I did not pay attention," Pasha admitted. "I do not spend much time there, so I have not yet seen many of the girls. Although, you are right. If I saw them in pants, I would right away think I was looking at a boy."

"Try to have an open mind, comrade," Eli encouraged with a grin. "But yes, your friend at the bar was very annoying. Some women are like that."

"Not all American women are like that, are they?" he asked, almost concerned. "If they are, I should take my sister and go back to Russia now!" He let out a laugh, his head shaking as he tried to push the girl's voice out of his head. "She was too much for me, comrade."

"Of course not," Eli laughed at him. "American women are all very different. America is a society that encourages individualism!"

Pasha blinked at that last part. Wow, he had a LOT to learn about this new country that he had to now call home. "I.... think this will take some time to get used to this," he commented thoughtfully. "This is so different from what I know."

((hey, I have a female character that I NEVER really used- her name is Annabelle, and she was engaged to Spot but then he went back to Rae. she is super spoiled and rich, and is about to inherit a large estate. not sure if Pasha would like her, but if you wanna have him RP a girl and see where it goes, we can! maybe i can have annabelle lose all her money, or....maybe pasha finds out about her inheritance, like they meet drunkenly or something, and decides to seduce her for it? i have no idea. any suggestions? you can read her profile if you want, i did not play her much so i can change her personality a bit if needed))
Eli frowned at him, giving him a look of sympathy. "True, but New york is a melting pot. There are thousands of immigrants just like you, having to deal with the same issues."
