Lana reluctantly finished the rest of her work day. As soon as 3 o'clock came, she rushed home to see Leo and Starfish. She ran up the front steps excitedly and was practically out of breath by the time she walked through the doors of the LH. "Leo! Starfish! I am home," she called, not sure where in the house they would be.

Leo was in the parlor waiting for her. "in here!" he called, resting on the couch with Star in his lap. "she's sleeping."

"Is she?" Lana asked softly as she peeked into the parlor. She laughed softly at the sight of Star asleep in Leo's lap. "She is very comfortable, yes? She must like you." Quietly, she walked over to the chair situated next to the couch and sat down.

"Star likes to be cuddled. She had a very tiring day, with her paw being fixed and being adopted and everything," Leo answered with a smile. "your sandwich is on the table."

"It sounds like a good day to me," Lana remarked before reaching across the table for her sandwich. "It is not every day you get new parents." She opened the sandwich and took a bite. Was this really a sandwich? This was amazing! "It is very good, Leo, thank you," she said with a smile after swallowing her first bite.

"I do not think so, no," Lana said with a shake of her head. "Even if he did, we are in the house... what could he do? We are in the middle of a big room. Anyone can see us." She honestly couldn't see why her brother got so upset every time she talked to someone. "Even if he did, I would defend you."

"Here, or at home?" Lana asked in reply. Depending on the place, she had two very different definitions of 'fun'. "I do not get out much here, but when I was still home, I liked to walk through the park. Sometimes, in the spring, I would watch the birds on the water."

"Is it really?" Lana asked, her eyes wide with surprise. This boy was too good to be true! She smiled brightly and let her head nod eagerly. "I would like that, very much! I wanted to go when Pasha and I first arrived, but I could not."

Lana shook her head slowly. "Nyet," she answered. "Pasha was worried more about finding a place to stay than to see the park." She paused, laughing to herself. "The only park I have seen here is not even a park at all. Just the statue all the boys like."
