It was two months later, and Trixie had a blanket spread on the living room floor, finishing changing Lori's diaper while Duncan played with blocks.

Trixie was in the middle of tickling Lori, making her giggle. "Hey, baby. I put out stuff for sandwiches on the counter in the kitchen, and there's soup on the stove."

Trixie frowned, not liking the way he snapped at her, and Duncan sense he wasn't wanted, so he ran back into Trixie's arm and started to cry. "Eli!"
