It had been multiple weeks since everything had gone down, and Zippy was finally feeling and looking like her old self. She gained back most of the weight she had lost, and there was color back in her face. Her boss at the book store, Shelley, had given her a raise for the new year, and even asked Zippy to paint a mural in the children's section of the store. It was an amazing experience to get to paint with all sorts of colors that it finally inspired her to take that extra step...
And apply to art schools.
Zippy sat in the reference section, searching through some of the art schools available to women in the city.

David was glad to see Zippy feeling better. She looked better, too, in the last few weeks -- healthier. He stopped by the bookstore after school, as always, finding her sitting on the floor surrounded in books and pamphlets. "Hey, sweetie. What's all this?" He put down his school bag, flopping onto the floor beside her.

((haha oh well I was implying that she was at the library but the store works too. same thing!!))
"Arts schools," Zippy replied, smiling at him. "I can't get into most of them, though, because I didn't finish school. But maybe I can take a few classes."

((Oh! Ha, I didn't make the connection Sorry)) He nodded, playing with her hair as he looked over her shoulder. "That'd be nice. You'd like that, I think."

"Great! It was a good day." she gathered up the reference books. "If only I had went to high school, then I could have applied to Columbia's sister college, Barnard."

He glanced at her, standing up. "It's not your fault you didn't go to school, Erin."

"It..kind of is. I mean, I didn't go to a fancy private one like you, but I chose to quit school." zippy sighed, and looked at him. "Anyway, I'm sure there are art classes offered at that art museum. I just gotta go check it out."

Zippy shrugged. "Maybe." she smiled at him and took his hand into hers. "Did ya see my wall, Dave? I finished it yesterday"

He turned towards the children's section, then grinned. "Erin, that's amazing!" He wrapped his arms around her from behind, looking at the wall over her shoulder.
