She nodded. "They're payin' okay. I moved outta the LH, and into Lottie's old room at Irving Hall. I'm still dancin' there, too." She took his hand, leading him to the back of the theater and to her dressing room. "The play's real good. It's about this girl who runs off to New York to be a star, and then she falls in love with a stage hand. It's a comedy, and romantic. Hardly any sad bits."

Eli came up behind her, kissing the back of her neck and taking the zipper from her. "I got this." he unzipped it all the way down, kissing the exposed skin as he went. "I can help with memorizing your lines, too."
