She served their plates, setting one in front of him. "I've been feeling better the last few months, and I'm on new medication. I'm not on chemo anymore, and that's what really tires you out."

She nodded, biting her lip. "It's been...rough for Violet. She's been sicker than me, too. I was stage two. She's stage three. But I was older, so I kinda took it on to make it easier on them." She began to eat.

"We're friends, Natalie. Let's just keep it simple for now, alright?" He offered, cleaning his plate. her maid's meals were SO. GOOD. "I know I'm exciting and all because I'm new, but you honestly have been the only person who has liked me so far for me." He knew he was lame saying that, but this girl was sick, he didn't wanna waste any time beating around the bush with her.
