She bounced the baby on her hip, kissing her little bald head, making her giggle. "Sometimes. Sometimes when I meet someone, get to know them, and then they just...disappear."

The toddler giggled, then laid her head against Natalie's shoulder. "I feel guilty sometimes, that I got better."

"I try." She kissed the baby again, nuzzling her gently. She wasn't sure if having kids would ever be an option for her. It occurred to her that she really wanted to have a baby one day.

After a couple hours of the both of them rotating around to play with different kids, Natalie walked over to Eli, putting a hand to his back gently. "You ready? Wanna go to dinner?"

((Hm, I dunno...I could be terrible and make her sick again. Or we can do something different with these two. Actually, I was kinda thinking about doing a futur-ish. Like just a couple years in the future, when she finds out she's pregnant, and they aren't married yet.))
