Rose just nodded, stuffing the rest of the cookie into her mouth.
"Well," she said once she'd finished it. "I would let you borrow this book after I'm done, but I already told someone else I'd lend it to them."

Pie curled the corner of his mouth up into a small smile as he put the lid of the tin back on and set it beside him on the couch. "I can probably find it in the library. Doubt there's much demand for--" he leaned forward to squint at the title of the book in her hand, " --'Lascivious Lord.'"

Rose held out the book, studying it. "I don't know..." she said skeptically. "I'm pretty sure there's some huge underground market for these kinda books. Like, those lonely women who don't get any from their husbands and whatnot. And of course all of us poor, virginal girls who have nothing better to do." She tried to say this without laughing.

((LOL! Well what I usually do is immediately log off once I post and log on as the other character. And it's just become second nature to look at the top where it says 'Welcome {name},' to see who I'm logged in as.))
"I should start a waiting list or something. It would be easier to keep track of who gets it next, y'know?" she furrowed her brow as she looked over at him, as if in deep thought.

He pulled a face and lifted his eyes to the ceiling. "It's Nick, but I don't think even my family calls me that anymore." He turned his gaze back to her and quirked his eyebrows again. "They haven't slapped a silly name on you yet?"
