She smiled. "I would. It's really fun. Come on. Everybody else'll be home soon." She led him to her bedroom. "I'll go make sandwiches."

"Oh, yes!" he exclaimed, smiling widely. Sandwiches were his favorite. He flopped down on her bed and opened his sketchbook, carefully tearing out the page to give to Lori. Then he started drawing a giant monster pigeon.

She went to the kitchen and made them a plate of turkey sandwiches, bringing them on a tray along with a couple glasses of lemonade. "Here ya go."

He smiled at her when she walked in, though he was more smiling at the tray of refreshments she was holding. "You are the best," he said, reaching for a sandwich and a glass of lemonade.

Eli showed up in Lori's doorway, clearing his throat.

Lori jumped. "Daddy! You're home!" She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "This is Chris Bennett. We--we're gonna do homework."

Chris stood up immediately, smiling nervously. "Hi Mr. Green," he said with a nod. Why was he nervous? They weren't doing anything they shouldn't be doing.

"Homework?" He raised an eyebrow, then a second later, smiled. "Hey, did you make me one of those?" He gestured to the sandwiches.

Lori shot him a look. "No. They're for Chris. He was hungry." She met her father's eyes and raised her brows at him, saying with her look to GO AWAY.

"Oh, no, you can have one if you want," Chris amended hastily.

((HAHA))
Eli grinned at Lori. "I'm hungry too." He reached over and bit into the sandwich. "Lor, does your Mama let you have boys in your room?"
He loved making his daughters uncomfortable and embarrassing the crap out of them. It brought him so much entertainment, it wasn't even funny. And ever since Trixie went back into the business, and Eli was around more, he really didn't know if Lori was allowed to have boys in her room. Thank good Marcie, Poppy and Deena were all way too young to even consider that.

Lori was practically mortified. "We're just gonna do homework, Daddy, and Mama'll be home soon with the others, and we don't wanna be interrupted." She said most of this through gritted teeth. "You let Duncan have whatsherface in his room all the time."

"We were gonna leave the door open..." Chris assured Mr. Green. "...Sir," he added, just in case.

"Uh huh. I'm watching you, kid," Eli replied with a laugh, pointing at him. "A boy. In Lori's room. Jesus...." He shook his head, walking out of the room and into his study.
((I'm gonna bring Duncan in soon. WE HAVENT MET HIM YET. i wanna meet him))

Lori could absolutely die, and she was pink cheeked when she looked back at Chris. "I am SO sorry!"
