Raven shot Flynn a glare, "Okay, when you've been with them since you're thirteen they're awful. You can't trust any of 'em. The only thing that kept me grounded was that I would go home at the end of the day...that was until there were too many classes to do that. You'll get sucked into their little corner of hell and won't be able to get out."

Between the classes and rehearsals, Sapphy was getting cabin feverish. When Flynn's exhibit opened a few nights later, she was thrilled to have something to do.
She let her hair down -- literally -- and went in a little black dress.

"Do you hear what this one is saying bout the art? Reflective...probably from a troubled childhood," Tony posed with one hand on his hip, a finger to his chin.
Raven bit her lip and tried not to laugh, she shoved his shoulder. "Stop, these people need to buy his stuff or we don't eat." She shook her head and drank a sip of wine. Raven's wavy hair hung down to the middle of her back, she chose a tight fitting plum dress with gold stilettos, gold chains hung from her neck.

"You look like a rockstar," Sapphy smiled, coming up from behind Raven. She felt so plain and ordinary with her little black dress -- which was really nothing special -- and her black flats.
When she moved from Arizona, she literally only brought what would fit in her backpack and a medium-sized duffle. She hadn't had time -- nor the money -- to make a second home and get new belongings in New York.
Though she was dying too. She needed to get a job.

"hey!" Raven said, "I was worried you wouldn't come." She smiled and took her hand pulling her forward, "This is like my best friend from the neighborhood, Tony meet Sapphy from Arizona."
"Hey," Tony said with a huge smiled and shook her hand.

Sapphy looked up at Tony, smiling despite herself. He was cute.
"Hullo," she greeted, sort of shyly.
Flynn came up behind Raven and put his arm over her shoulder. "I just sold another," he informed her happily. "What shall we buy with our millions? My suggestion is a hot tub."
