The Letter -- open!

[Fae]

She chuckled and shook her head, looking back at the fire with a soft smile. "Just who I am... everything is good. It always gets better and... I like it here. This is my home and my family, even when I get homesick a bit for Ireland. I have you to remind me that I find home where I go. Just like so many heroes do in my stories."

[Pie]

He grinned at that and reached over to ruffle her hair affectionately. "You're much too smart for your age, Miss Molly."

[Fae]

She chuckled and tilted her head a bit when he did, "Ya keep actin' like yer so much older."

[Pie]

"I'm at least a couple of years older than you, little girl," he answered in a joking tone. "So yeah, I am."

[Fae]

"Ya are not," she nudged him a little. Didn't matter if he was a couple years older, she didn't think that it mattered to much. "I'm near seventeen you know." In a few months.

[Pie]

"And I'm near to nineteen," he answered, reaching out to tweak her nose. "So you'd better be respectful to your elders."

[Fae]

She scoffed and then laughed, it didn't matter if he was twenty-- "Even if you were twenty it wouldn' change a thing, Niko... " Not between them anyway.

[Pie]

"And why not? Don't respect me, then?" he asked, leaning back to look at her with an eyebrow up, though the tilt to his mouth showed he was still teasing her.

[Fae]

She reached up and patted his cheeks with both of her hands, chuckling, "I respect ya.. but I ain't no kid..." She had the pixie like looks-- but he'd made her smile and laugh when she hadn't felt like it a moment ago. "Ya know at me age, I should be married already...ya know that."

[Pie]

"Mm, we all should," he replied, grinning under her hands on his face. "My ma's been on me about it for months now. Me, married? Can't think of a worse idea."

[Fae]

"Why not? If ya met the right girl why couldn't ya?" Her brow raised and she wanted to hear what he was on about. It was true a handful of them, well most of them, were older and maybe ten years before would have all been married already. "What'd be so bad about that huh?"

[Pie]

He quirked a brow at her. "I'd be a miserable husband -- I get paid to let people beat up on me, for one thing. Can't have a family, doin' something like that."

[Fae]

Her brows knit together for a moment and she tilted her head at him. "You really think that?" She asked. "can't have a family because you jump into someone's fist now an again?" She was irish, fighting was a sense of pride for them.

[Pie]

"Say somebody hits the wrong spot, or one day I can't fight anymore. How'm I going to pay for a family, when fightin' is all I know how to do?" he asked her.

[Fae]

"Ya know I told Birdie not long ago that I've never really loved anyone like I tell stories about so I cant' say what it feels like.." She let her hands fall from his cheeks and she offered him a smile. "But I think that whoever you'd marry-- they'd be your partner, an' it would be the two a you together to see the world, not just you. I think there's power in that.. it's own kinda magic."
