Adri nodded, trying to hide the fact that she was feeling a bit overwhelmed. The only person she knew around this place was Eli. Unless there were other high school friends hiding in between the cracks.
"Thanks for inviting me!" she grinned, taking a sip of her beer and scanning the crowd.

Eli wandered around the room for a little while, schmoozing, until he noticed his neighbor chatting up Adri.
And he didnt like it.
He went back over and stole Adri away. "wanna see my room?" he asked her.

Adri was a bit surprised when she saw Eli sneak up near her. She shrugged, grinning at him.
"Sure," she said, before glancing over at Eli's neighbor, Chris. "Your neighbor was just telling me how close you two are."

"Yeah, he went to USC with us. Him and his roommate Ben got the place across from us. Their friends are here too." Eli explained, opening up his bedroom door.

"Oh," she nodded. "They're nice. You've got good neighbors."
She walked into his room, chuckling softly. Nothing changed. It was definitely Eli's room. She grinned, plopping down on his bed and taking off her shoes to get comfortable. "Yup. This looks like your room."

"Yeah...hasnt changed much," Eli noted with a grin. "new pictures, I guess. More USC stuff." he shrugged, sitting down next to her.
"I'm glad you came." but a part of him was lost. He didn't know what to say to her.

"Yeah, I know, I was just kidding around with you," she laughed. She shrugged when she heard his second comment. "Well... if anyone told me back then that I'd go back home after college and met up with you again, I would've laughed in their faces. I wasn't expecting all of this either."
