Adri smiled as the taxi pulled up to her house. She immediately paid the driver, stepped out of the taxi and grabbed her bags. It had been years since she was home and now that she was back in Chicago, she didn't realize how much she missed it. She was welcomed with hugs from her parents and brother. Once the catch up session was done, Adri made her way towards her room, sighing as she jumped on her bed.
She sighed, opening her window and looking outside. College was over and now real life began. Let's do this!

((YAY!))
Eli Green, in a tank top and sunglasses, was busy loading up boxes into the small U-Haul that was attacked to his black SUV. He had just graduated and was moving in with his best friend, Luke, in a small apartment in the city. He couldn't believe his good luck when a trading company hired both him and Luke, and they'd be not only working together, but be making enough to get a good start on their student loans and officially move out of their parents' homes. Luke was moving all the way from California, and was already moved into their apartment.
Eli, on the other hand, was still picking at old boxes in his bedroom. He was currently hoisting his bike into the U-Haul.

Adri took her time to look out at the view. Not a lot changed -- the backyard was the same, probably messier than before, and the neighbor's house was still there. She felt her heart skip a beat when she realized who's house it was but pushed it back down. There was no way he could be here right now. A couple of seconds later, a familiar figure caught her eye. She leaned farther, almost ready to fall from her window.
Her eyes widened and her heart dropped. She let out a loud gasp, unable to think of anything else to do.

Eli had been home for two weeks now, and had seen a couple of old friends, but he lost touch with most of them when he moved out to California.
He didn't think about the one that he actually wanted to see. If anything, it all made him a bit nervous, being home. It was one of the reasons why he decided to move out right away, even if it wasn't the best thing he could do financially.
He hated seeing her house.

"Eli..." she muttered, not quite sure what to do. It had been years and, if possible, he looked even better than before.
Oh, what the hell... "Eli!!" she shouted, hoping he'd hear her from her window.

Eli, still holding a box, glanced around when he heard his name. That voice....
He immediately looked towards her bedroom window.
Eli grinned, and placed the box on the top of his car. "HEY." He waved, his heart beating fast. He had to remain cool.

Adri grinned like a fool. She probably looked like one too. Realizing that she was practically hanging out her window, she shouted, "Wait right there! I'll come down!"
She ducked her head to go back inside, doing a quick spot check in her mirror before rushing down the stairs and towards the front door. She took a breath, hoping to calm her nerves as she opened the door and stepped outside to meet him.
"Hey."

Eli smiled and immediately wrapped his arms around her for a hug. "Holy cow. Hey!" He gave her a little squeeze. "How long has it been? Four years?" He pulled back to look at her. "You look AMAZING."
He probably would have seen her during Christmas and Thanksgiving and Summer breaks...it just never worked out. Mostly because his family would always spend the holidays out in California with him where it was sunny and warm. And also because it woulda been too painful....

"Thanks. You do too," she chuckled, looking at him in awe. She couldn't help but feel happy when she saw him. There were so many things she wanted to say. I miss you. I'm sorry. But all she could do was smile widely.
"You, uh, going somewhere?" she asked, pulling back just a bit. She secretly hoped he wasn't still mad at her after what happened all those years ago.

"Yeah!" He replied, smiling more. "Moving out. I got my own place with a buddy of mine from school." He leaned against his car, his eyes on her. "What about you? What are your plans now?"

"Just going to stay home for a bit... spend time with the family since I haven't seen them for a while," she smiled, amazed at how comfortable she felt around him. "I've got an interview out in the city in a couple days though. I'll probably move out there soon enough..."

"Yeah?" Eli chuckled a little. "Well good luck with that. What company?" He couldn't believe that they both might be back in Chicago...

"United Airlines," she answered. "Doing marketing for them. Not as a stewardess. Everyone always asks me that... how about you? What're you up to now?"

"At the Chicago Board of Trade." Eli replied, taking off his sunglasses and placing them on the top of his head to get a better look at her. She looked just the same, but in a way, so much hotter....
"You free now? I'm about done here. We should go get ice cream or something. You know, catch up." He didn't see anything wrong with that. He used to love her so much, he honestly wanted to know how she was.

Adri tried her best not to look too excited. She grinned, nodding. "My number's still the same... text me when you're done? I just got in earlier too so I might unpack some things..."
