"Will do," Eli agreed, reaching for her hand to squeeze it. "You look great, Adri. Really." He let go and picked up his box.

Adri felt shivers go up her spine when he touched her. How was this still possible after four years?
"You do too," she said sincerely, giving him one more smile before walking back inside and eagerly awaiting his text.

An hour later, Eli was all packed up and he sent Adri a text to meet him outside. He sat on her porch, waiting for her.
"You wanna walk to Dairy Queen?"

"Yeah, sure," she answered, smiling. She couldn't help but feel like how it was back then. Things were so simple.
"So, you gotta tell me stories! How was USC? How were the girls?" she teased, secretly wondering what he would say.

He laughed. "Smoking hot. And also filthy rich and spoiled. I dated a girl for awhile who lived on the same street as Tom Hanks and all these other crazy celebrities." he glanced at her, it was weird talking about other girls with her.

"Got a job," Eli replied, with a shrug and a grin. "Applied to jobs all over the country, and I got my best offer here. Plus so did Luke."

Adri beamed, always glad to hear about new friends. "Luke is here? Wait, you got a job?" she said as she stopped walking to face him, a smile plastered on her face. "Congrats!" She grinned, wrapping her arms around him for a hug.

Eli hugged her, chuckling a little. "Yeah, I told you that like half an hour ago...." His heart skipped a beat and he released her.
"Aww, Adri..." he gave her an amused grin, "were you too excited to see me to hear what I had to say?" He laughed at her teasingly.
