"No," Eli interjected. "I can handle it. Friends." he repeated, nodding. "I need another drink. I'll be back." he left and for another beer.
((we need to figure out the specifics of their break up. I'm gonna say that Eli's dream school was USC, Adri's NYU and Eli was all for long distance and giving it a try and Adri was more realistic and was like its too far and we both need a fresh start anyway?? Maybe they dated for like 3 years of high school?? What do you think??))

((Yes, let's do that!! It was getting a bit hard for them to interact since we didn't figure out the whole backstory behind it! I guess you can say Adri broke up with him? It makes sense why she's the more "calm" of the two.))

Adri sighed, standing up to close his door. "Nevermind... I can't party now after you've brought this up." She grabbed his beer and took a sip. "So... what now?"

Adri frowned, looking down at her feet before back up at him. "So... what?" she asked, trying her best to keep a straight face. She shouldn't have expected much. Eli was never going to take her back. "We're just not going to talk anymore?"

"Uh..." Eli blinked at her when Luke stuck his head in the bedroom.
"GREEN. YOU HAVE A SURPRISE."
Eli gave him a confused look and followed him into the living room where Natalie, his ex, squeeled and jumped into his arms. "Surprise!"
Eli laughed and hugged her back.
