"Same eyes," Kennedy said thoughtfully. "Did you hear him calling for you earlier?"
((LOL no thought))

"He always does that when I leave, I've gotten used to it." he shrugged, he made a left. Kennedy hopping along beside him. They were heading towards Tibby's. He knew nobody over here would bother him. He was grateful for that at least.

"How sad," Kennedy said, slowing her pace for a moment. She looked down at her shoes. Her eyes actually started to form tears.

Tristan stopped walking to look at her, was she really upset? "Uh...don't be upset it's just...I mean I don't live with him so, he gets sad, I see him a lot though." He patted her shoulder awkwardly. "He's a baby, they do that when they don't understand."

"Babies and children understand more than you think," Kennedy said, batting her eyelashes to keep back the tears. "I'm sorry. I relate to everything too easily. Empathetic to a fault. I mean, it's your kid, not mine. ...Can I babysit?" she perked her head up. "I'll be real good with him, I promise."

"That's okay...I just don't do crying well," Tristan said with a nod, biting his lip. "Actually I think you'd probably be a great babysitter," He smiled at her. "Nancy could probably use a break now and again. I'll bring you there tomorrow so you can meet them." He couldn't help thinking to himself, while they're still here, but he wasn't going to tell Kennedy that Nancy was moving and taking Mikey with her.
"Want a soda or somethin?" He asked, opening the door to Tibby's.

"Only," she said, rather dramatically. "If it's strawberry-flavored." Kennedy never faked dramatics. Her dramatics were deadly serious.

"You got it," Tristan said, he picked a booth by the window and sat down. He actually pretty hungry. "You can eat too if you're hungry."

"Really?" Kennedy gasped like a little kid.
((Wouldn't it be creepy-awesome if they developed almost a father-daughter relationship? HAHAHAHAHAHA))

"Yea," he said with a laugh as he looked at the menu. "Has nobody ever fed you before?"

Tristan laughed, "I mean like bought you dinner or something? Ya know, like now, like I'm gonna pay for your lunch." He was smiling at her. The waitress appeared and he placed his order, a beer, a potato knish and a hotdog.

Kennedy asked for pancakes. When she was informed they didn't serve pancakes, she pouted for a couple seconds before ordering the same as Tristan except for a strawberry-flavored soda instead of beer.
"The only people to ever feed me are myself and Nana," she said truthfully.

"Well now you can say that I've fed ya," Tristan said with a grin, "You close with your nana?" He could hear it in the way she'd say Nana and the look that came over her eyes. He probably looked like that when he talked about Mikey.
