that may be true. Piper had nothing to lose except her life, and even that wasn't very precious. Her reputation was shot and she was all alone.

Monday didn't like the idea, but he could hardly offer any explanation. The more relaxed Priest was around Piper, the better. "Not tonight. You're too shaken up."
He crossed his arms over his chest. "What does Connelly want you to do with Blackjack?"

Piper groaned, leaning against the door. "he's on their case too, threatening and giving their gang a hard time. They want me to perform some of my magic and make him disappear."
She pinched the bridge of her nose, exhausted. "I think they are expecting it'll start something between Priest and Blackjack...." conceiving assholes.

He grimaced. "That would be bad for us. We'll have to get rid of Blackjack before we can get rid of Priest, or else this is all going to blow up at once." He rolled his eyes to the ceiling, annoyed. "Why the fuck does all of this happen at the same time?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Monday, just allow priest to be distracted by Blackjack, he won't see you coming then."
The better question, to Piper, is how many more men was she going to have to fuck until this was over? She crossed her arms, looking at Monday. How come none of the men looked like him? Or treated her with any sort of respect like he did? She knew she wasn't worth it, or even deserved it but she knew at one point she may have. That day was long gone.

Monday considered that. "If Priest is mixed up with fending off Blackjack, he's going to be worried about double crossing. So he's going to trust the two of us more just because he's trusting everyone else less." He let out a brief, humorless laugh. "Funny, that. We're the ones he shouldn't trust at all."

He lifted a shoulder. "It's cold now. Doesn't matter." Taking out a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it, he drew in deeply from it and then blew the smoke out.
"Don't do anything tonight. Get yourself together and think," he said, a little quietly. "We've both earned that."

"Yeah," she replied, walking out the door. What a mess. As she walked out the door, she realized that she was used to this type of disappointment. She was damaged, used-up goods.
She was much better off starting over, and finding someone who didnt know her history.
((SAD FACE. but such good drama i'm eating it up haha))

((I KNOW. I'm addicted to them. let me talk over the blackjack plot with people and get back to ths. I'm thinking that Monday should get injured during this whole thing and piper takes care of him. OR, well i guess its more likely if Piper gets injured since shes more vulnerable. your thoughts??))
