Raven looked at her for a second, took another gulp of wine and then took a deep breath. "Well...basically he really liked beating the shit out of me," She lifted her arm and pointed at a scar, long and jagged, "That was because I didn't listen," She said a lifted her skirt to show her calf, "That was because I drew attention to myself," She pointed at the scar, "well you get the picture...it got real bad when I reached puberty though." She swallowed hard, "He uh did things brothers shouldn't do to their sisters."

'you're a better person then I am.' Nevada said softly. Her experiences in life made her withdraw from people, be bitter and angry and here was Rae wanting to live and get through it.

"Oh yea, it's real." Raven said with a nod. "He has enemies all over this city. He knows I can handle myself, but if someone really wanted to use me against him they would find away and chances are I'd only be able to hold them off, but with a bird on me? He could sound the alarm and them jump in to help." Raven took another sip, "I knew that when I pushed him though, he didn't want me to move in with him...he was scared."

'cuz when you moved in there everyone knew who you were huh?' nevada asked. She started wondering if and how many enemies Tristan had made. There was nothing official between em but she wasn't stupid and knew he took a special interest in her.
