"Nah, she'll be fine with it. She doesn't care if I see other girls." He replied before taking a gulp of his Coke.

"Oh." Way to get ahead of yourself, Adri. "I mean, it's fine if you tell me where they are. I can find them... I'm a big girl."

Teddy couldn't hold in his laughter anymore.
"I'm only kidding. I don't have a girlfriend."

Adri almost spit out her Coke but kept her composure. "You," she said, eyeing him as she grinned. "Are sneaky. You sure you want to manage fitness centers your whole life? Seems like you've got some pretty good acting skills there." ((Haha!))

"No, I don't like to get up in front of large crowds." He replied, grinning bashfully.
"Anyways, I'm assuming you have more than just two boxes..."

"Oh! Yeah, that's right," said Adri, almost forgetting that she still had a couple boxes left in the car. She hopped off of the counter, grabbing her keys. "You sure you don't mind if I borrow you for a couple hours?"
She walked towards the door and back out on the street, suddenly very excited about moving boxes.

"No, I really don't mind. All my neighbors know by now that if they need something moved in or out, they come to me."
Teddy followed her happily, breathing in the fresh morning air.

"How are the rest of the neighbors around here, anyway?" she asked, opening her trunk and grabbing another box. After a couple more trips, they'd be done.

Teddy grabbed one that looked the biggest and headed back up to her apartment. "Next to me on the right is Amy and Colin. Young couple, just got married a few months ago. On the left is Harold, older man. His wife, Violet, died last year. Next to you over here, I only know Chris. He's around my age, real estate agent. Very friendly."
Perhaps too friendly for my taste... Teddy thought, hoping Chris wouldn't be any competition... Not that he thought Adri liked him already. He was just speculating.

"Wow, you really know everyone, huh?" said Adri, amazed by the number of people he knew. She looked at both sides of the street before crossing towards her apartment.
She opened the door, setting down the box she was carrying. "How about places to eat? Any good ones I should try?" Adri was up for trying anything when it came to food. She was a real foodie. At least, that's what they called it on the internet.

"Oh, are there!" Teddy loved food. He would eat just about anything at any time of day.
"I honestly think there's not one restaurant I haven't been to in a 10-mile vicinity." He admitted, chuckling.

"What did I do to deserve such a great introduction to the city?" said Adri, laughing softly. "I think one more trip and we'll be done..." She took a sip of her Coke before heading back outside.

Teddy followed her yet again, and took the bigger box of the two remaining.
"You decided to move across from me, that's what you did!" And, boy, was he glad. If she hadn't, he'd be in his apartment right now doing push-ups or watching a movie or both. That sounded boring compared to what he was doing now.

"Hey, I'm just as surprised as you about how this turned out!" she laughed, finally grabbing the last box. "I really owe you though, for helping me move in my stuff. Then again, that's probably nothing for you with all your fitness centers and all."
She put down the box she was carrying on the floor and held the door open for him, amazed that he was still here with her.

Teddy blushed a bit at her comment. "Well, I'm just glad I could help you. And now you know someone."
It had been hard for Teddy when he first moved here; he didn't know a single person in the whole city. So, he had forced himself to meet his neighbors. Now, when new ones moved in, it had become routine for him to meet them. He was this block's unofficial welcoming committee.
