Adrianne sighed, a bit upset that she hadn't found a nearer parking spot. But, hey, that's San Francisco for you. She glanced over to her new apartment, excited and scared at the same time. It was her first time living by herself after having years and years of roommates. She popped open her trunk, looking at the boxes of things she had a carry. Today was going to be a long day.

Theodore, or Teddy as everyone (excluding his grandmother) called him, walked outside and locked his door behind him. He was heading out to the grocery store, in desperate need of more Coke and chips, among other things, of course. He stopped when he saw a girl heading his way, carrying a box too big to be carried by any one person.
He rushed over to her, taking half the box from her. "Hey, hey, lemme help you with that."

"H-hey, whoa, I can carry that myself!" said Adrianne, completely taken by surprise that someone simply walked up to her and grabbed the box she was holding. Once she saw that he was normal-looking and quite attractive, she calmed down a bit.
"Look, you really don't have to. My place is right there," she said, pointing across the street.

"No, it's not a problem." He shifted the box in his arms to make it more comfortable to carry.
"I had to move all my stuff myself, too. I know how hard it is." He smiled at the girl, winking at her.

Adrianne almost melted. Well, this was just pure luck. She just happened to move into a new place near a cute guy who's willing to move her boxes.
"Alright, fine. But... just don't run away with them," she said, grabbing a smaller box from her trunk before closing it. She crossed the street, leading him over to her place. She shimmied the keys into the lock and opened the door. "Just put them on the floor. I'm Adrianne, by the way. I go by Adri though."

After setting the heavy box down on the floor, Teddy stood up and tried to act like it had been light as a feather.
"Adri," he smiled as he stuck out his hand. "I'm Teddy. Nice to meet you. I live right across the street."

"Nice to meet you," she smiled, shaking his hand. She glanced back out at the street once he mentioned where he lived. "I think I might've parked right outside your place... Oh, and is Teddy short for something?"
She couldn't help but smirked. The first thing that came to her mind was a huggable teddy bear. She, then, began wondering what it'd be like to hug him...

"Theodore." He replied with a slight blush. "But don't call me that unless you're my grandma... "
He looked around her place, impressed. "This is a really nice place."

"Well, it's a good thing I'm not your grandma... 'cause that'd be just weird. And awkward," she said, smirking.
Ershey looked around her place. It was bare except for a couch and more boxes strewn around the place. It was disorganized and messy but that's how it was when you move into a new place. "I'd offer you a drink but I've only got Coke in the refrigerator right now," she said, walking towards the kitchen. "That ok?"

"I was actually on my way to the store to buy some." He chuckled, following her into the kitchen. "I'll take one of yours, and you can take one of mine. When I get 'em."
Being a guy, Teddy couldn't help but watch Adri as she walked. She had a great body and a great face to match. He just hoped her personality matched.

Adri opened the refrigerator, grabbing two Cokes. Upon hearing his last comment, she waved her hand at him and smiled. "Helping me carry my stuff over is enough," she said, handing him the drink. "Don't worry about it. So, uh, been living around here for a while?"
Due to the lack of chairs and tables, Adri simply propped herself up and sat on the counter, feet dangling above the ground.

Teddy leaned against the counter about two feet away from her, not quite comfortable enough to get closer. He didn't want to creep her out after meeting her just a handful of minutes ago.
"About two years. Moved here after graduating from UCLA. Business. I manage a couple fitness centers downtown." ((of COURSE he does))

I'm not surprised, thought Adri as she glanced at his very well-managed arms. "My bad, big shot," she teased, opening her drink and taking a sip. "Maybe I should give you more than a Coke. You like it around here?"
Adri was mentally thanking her stars for finding a place that included a very attractive and fit guy right across the street. He was nice enough, she thought, still making up her mind about him.

"It's great. Weather is amazing most of the time, the views are spectacular... This city just never gets old to me. I feel like I step out everyday and think I'm such a lucky guy to be living here."
Teddy sipped his Coke, wanting to ask her so many questions. Boyfriend? How long do you plan to live here? Job? But he didn't want to bombard her just yet.

"You gotta show me around, then," said Adri, smiling at him. She was always too trusting and it was her biggest flaw. It was true that she had just met the guy but he didn't seem like a crazy ax murderer. Instead, he was the complete opposite.
"I mean, if that's alright with your girlfriend..." she added after a couple moments, realizing that she just jumped the gun.
