Tag sat in a booth, waiting for her lunch as she read the last few chapters of her novel. Despite its embarrassing title and shocking contents, she had been pulled in by the excellent writing and all the plot twists she hadn't seen coming.
Her eyes were wide as the Viscount, who, it turned out, was quite mad, stood behind the unknowing hero, knife in hand... He was attempting to kill his daughter's true love... Tag's eyes were wide with horror and suspense, reading as quickly as she could.

Copper eased comfortably into the seat across from Tag wordlessly, smirking to himself as he studied the book jacket and her expression.
"Enjoying yourself, are we?" he smiled.
((SURPRISE! I couldn't resist.))

((YES.))
Tag jumped, dropping her book as she let out a small squeal.
"Oh my word." She said breathlessly, clutching her furiously beating heart. "You... You gave me such a fright."

"Did I?" Copper grinned, looking pleased with himself. He leaned against the table, starting to spin the utensils. "You have lovely teeth. What's your name?

"Tag..." She replied in a very suspicious tone. "And yours?"
She closed her book, making sure to mark her page, and set it beside her on the seat. This boy looked awfully familiar, but she couldn't quite place why.

"Copper, 'cause of me hair," he said, Irish accent full and thick.

"Fitting." Tag replied with a small nod.
She looked around the restaurant, feeling awkward and uncomfortable. Why had he sat down with her? She glanced at him, but was too embarrassed to look at him for too long.

"Whereabouts you from?" he asked, smiling. She was the cutest girl in Tibby's at the moment, so of course he had to introduce himself. "Originally, I mean."

"London." She figured he knew where London was since it sounded like he was from near there, as well.
Tag couldn't help but notice how good-looking he was. She felt in another, magical life, they had been each other's true love... But that was just silly.

((HELL YEAH. Whenever I scroll down to respond in this thread, I just look to the side to see their pictures side by side and grin madly.))
"Aw, alright then, that sounds about right," Copper said. "Can I buy you something to eat or drink?"

"Oh, I've already ordered." She told him with a small shrug of her shoulders.

"Then would you mind if I joined you? Sorry, my social skills need a bit of a stretch. I haven't talked to many people in months." Before he could wait for her answer, he snapped his fingers to get a waiter's attention. He ordered the cheapest thing on the menu and turned back to Tag with a smile.

Go right ahead. Tag thought as she watched him make himself at home in her booth.
"Why is that?"

Did he just call her 'love.' Who was this guy?!?! ((IT'S RON, GIRL. COME ON.))
"Oh. Sounds nice." She really had no idea what else to say.
