Risk walked into Irving Hall, hands stuffed in his pockets as he scanned the area. Normally, he would've made his way straight to the bar but figured it wouldn't be such a good idea to start with Macbeth. He, at least, wanted to be presentable enough. Noticing a nearby poker table, Risk watched them for a while as he kept his eye on the door for Macbeth.

She'd thought about not showing up, she really had. She'd figured there was a good chance he wouldn't show up, and if for some reason he did, this night was an absolutely guaranteed train wreck. She knew this perfectly well.
It was the curse of her life to walk straight toward train wrecks. She walked in the door, saw him immediately, and raised her chin in a casual greeting.

Risk beamed when he saw her at the door. Grinning, he walked towards her, almost tempted to put his arm around her shoulders but was sure he'd get in trouble for that.
"You showed up," he said proudly.

"No need to sound so damn smug about it. I wanted free drinks," she said with a shrug, heading for the bar. ((Just so you know, this song reminds me of them to a scary degree. And the chorus just sums up Macbeth in general. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vslOvyG5bA0 ))

Risk shrugged, still pleased with himself that she arrived at Irving Hall. "You're still here," he smirked, walking towards the bar and calling the bartender over. "What's your drink of choice?"
((Ooooh, I love it. It's definitely her!))

"Anything cheap, don't matter. Gin and tonic'll do." She eyed him and cut right to the chase. "So...me. Drinks. Why?"

Risk nodded at the bartender for two gin and tonics before turning to face Macbeth. "You're different," he answered, trying his best not to sound too cheesy. "You're not scared to put up with shit and give it back when needed... which is dangerous and fun at the same time."
It was true. Most girls he dated were boring and predictable. Macbeth was different from the get go.

"Oh yeah. My life is full of danger and fun." She rolled her eyes and waited for her drink. She wasn't drunk yet, and she wasn't going to start making flustered small talk like they were on a date, if that was what he was hoping for.

"It's better than doin' nothing," said Risk, shrugging before handing Macbeth her drink. "So, how was the rest of your day?"

"Thrilling." She smirked. It had been, as a matter of fact. "I stole a roll and pissed off a pregnant girl and she made me eat a sandwich. How 'bout yours?"

"Oh wow, you had to eat, so bad for you," he teased, shaking his head at her. "Sellin'... y'know, the usual. Got some weird looks here and there, but that's nothin' new."

"Mmm. Mangare, she called it. Highly recommend it," she informed him, sipping her drink. Slowly. "Why the weird looks?" He seemed relatively normal to her, other than the fact that he was buying her drinks.

"I'm not the best newsie around here," he shrugged, taking a sip of his drink. "I'm worst at makin' headlines. Sometimes I wonder if I should be doin' somethin' else."

"Hmm. Like what?" she asked, idly curious, her fingers moving around the rim of her glass. Time for smaller sips; she was such a bloody lightweight.

"Somethin' to do with askin' questions," said Risk, smirking. "I'm naturally curious... if you couldn't tell already." He was already halfway through his drink and he still wasn't feeling it. It was one of those times that he was thankful for his high tolerance.
