The second Kathryn saw Blink at the bar, she immediately stopped kissing Moonshine. She was content that he'd seen them. She turned toward him, trying to be casual.
"Oh, Blink. Didn't see you there!"

Moonshine blinked, lips swollen and still slightly pursed from being mid-kiss when Kathryn pulled away. He cleared his throat and took up his beer taking a sip before leanin against the bar and holding his hand out to Blink. "Hey, name's Moonshine, don't think we met yet."

Okay, now Blink wasn't dumb.
Okay, wait, he kinda was. But surprisingly, Blink knew a lot about women -- young women, anyway, and courting rituals and the games and all that jazz. He knew immediately what was going on here and he wasn't going to fall into it. He never had the plan to with any girl.
"Hey Kathryn, how ya doin' Moonshine?" he greeted happily before turning to the bartender. "Four glasses of water please and could you keep 'em comin'?" he gestured over his shoulder to the dance circle he has temporarily abandoned. "We're gettin' all sweaty out there!"

Moonshine watched the scene before him, somewhere between curious and amused. "So, uh, dancin', huh? Havin' fun out there?" So this was...awkward.

Blink didn't understand what was wrong with Kathryn. Because he didn't respond? He shrugged and returned to the others on the dancefloor.

Kathryn was outside, hugging herself tightly to keep warm and looking around for her footman. He must have been circling the block with her carriage or something.

Tara raised her eyebrows. "Does he? I wonder how he knows about harems. I only know about them because I read my father's books--the scandalous, off-limits ones that he hid in the attic." She smiled. "What about you, do you want a harem too?"

"Thanks," said Goblin, taking both 'evil' and 'genius' as compliments, if not exactly new ones. "I'm thinking we start by heading up to the tower dorm."
This was where the legendary sneaking skills of Clara/Wraith really would've come in handy. "If we get caught, you're just an innocent student...who happens to be wearing trousers..." Well, she wouldn't have made it far in a skirt. "...and sneaking a guy into the dorms. I'm hoping they'll just throw me out, and then you can join me once they're gone." He put his hand on the doorknob. "What do you think? We can still go right back out the window," he offered, not wanting to push her into this act of madness.

Moonshine found her and moved to her, casually standing beside her, hands in his pockets. "Callin' it a night so early? Real shame. Thought we were havin' a good time in there." He kept his voice light, friendly, but stood close to her.
