Adri laughed softly. "Really? You thought I'd say no?" Despite their previous rocky relationship, she still deeply cared for him. It was their chance to do things over again.

"I just...wasn't sure," he replied, laughing at himself. Before he knew it, he was stepping up to her and enveloping her in his arms.

"I'm really glad I ran into you," she chuckled, hugging him tightly in return. Who knew this would happen in New York?

"Me too," he replied, his voice quiet as he buried his face in her hair.
The next night, Teddy stood in front of her door in his nicest date outfit, holding a small bouquet of violets (since purple was her favorite color, or at least it used to be). He took a deep breath, unsure of why he was so nervous, and knocked.

Adri made sure to take her time and dress up. She hadn't seen Teddy in a while and this was their "first" date. She opened the door when she heard his knock and gasped when she saw the flowers. "Aww, Teddy!" she beamed.

Teddy's heart filled up with pride as he handed her the flowers; he still had it.
"Adri, you look beautiful," he told her, almost breathless as he looked at her.

"Thanks," smiled Adri as she took the flowers and admired them. "You look great too. Let me just put these in water, ok?" And with that, she quickly dashed towards the kitchen, found an empty water bottle, filled it with water and stuck the flowers inside before rushing back towards Teddy.

"Ready?" He had taken her trench coat off the coat hook next to the door and was holding it out for her, ready to help her put it on.

Adri nodded, amazed at how much of a gentleman Teddy could be as she stood in front of him to put on her coat. She missed his politeness. It was hard to find a guy like that these days. "So, are you going to tell me where we're going or do I have to guess?"

Teddy reached into his back pocket and took out two tickets. "We're going to see a play," he announced, yet again extremely proud of himself. Girls loved plays!

Adri let out a noise, somewhere between a loud gasp and a squeal as she froze and stared at Teddy. "Really?!"

"Really! Unless these are fake tickets..." He shot her a panicked look.

"You wouldn't!" she gasped, gently punching him on the shoulder. "If it is, then, that's just mean! Y'know, I can just stay in tonight and just read or something..."

Teddy laughed, his expression changing in a split second.
"No, they're real! They're from the box office, not some creepy scalper pushing a grocery cart around," he assured her, putting his arm around her shoulders and squeezing her to him.

"You're so awesome, y'know that?" she grinned, wrapping her arms around him for a hug. "That's not fair, though! You know me too well to know what to do to make me happy!"
