Dinner went by smoothly with the exception of a couple whines from both Ryan and Lillian's siblings. Both families chatted excitedly as they devoured their food, obviously quite exhausted from the day.

"How much longer 'till the fireworks?" asked Ryan, nudging Lillian and grinning at her.

Just as Lillian opened her mouth to reply, a voice came over the loudspeaker system announcing the imminent beginning of the fireworks show. Lillian closed her mouth and nodded, shooting Ryan a look that said "Well, there you go."

We'll be back!!" grinned Ryan, grabbing her hand and heading outside. He weaved through the crowd, trying his best to find the best spot to watch the fireworks with Lillian.

She pointed it out and followed Ryan there, sitting down once they reached it.

She got goosebumps multiple times, and even started to tear up near the end. It was just so moving!

However, right before it ended, he looked over at Lillian and kissed her cheek. He was so glad to be here with her and wouldn't want to share it with anyone else.
