"Well, she didn't have to like me to know I'm the best seamstress she's ever employed," Tag replied with a hint of pride. "At least that's what she said."
She leaned against the door frame, gazing around at her room. It was still new to her, too. "Will you stay here tonight?"

"I think that's a great idea," beamed Ryan, glad to be able to spend more time with Tag. He missed her greatly during his trip and now that he's back, he simply wanted to be with her.

"How about the park?" he smiled as they walked out on the streets. He missed New York greatly and as much as California was his home, he loved the city.

Their walk was a very pleasant one; Specs told an enraptured Tag all about his time in California, and she returned with some stories of the antics in the alterations shop. They passed a newsboy selling the evening edition of The World, and Tag handed him a dime before taking her paper, insisting he keep the change. She did this regularly, of course, knowing how hard it was for a newsie to survive.

Specs chuckled softly as he watched Tag by the newspaper. Once they were out of earshot from the newsie, he smirked and pointed at the paper. "Are you really going to read that or did you just want to give him a dime?"
