"I'm just teasing," he laughed, kissing her ear. "I do the same thing too... only except with the occasional meal." He smiled, wondering whether she'd caught on to this habit. Whenever he saw a hungry-looking newsie, his heart melted and he couldn't help but buy them food.

"Yes, I've noticed," she replied, her ear burning. "So, I started doing the same while you were gone."
It was then Tag noticed the sun was considerably lower in the sky, and her stomach felt considerably more empty than it had been earlier. "Speaking of meals, I've bought everything to make your favorite meal for you tonight."

"Really, I don't understand why you're so surprised! What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't make your favorite meal for dinner when you've just come back from a three-month long trip?" She pursed her lips at him, shooting him one of her signature looks.

"Well, you've had four years to realize that I do care that much," she replied, itching to wrap her arms around him but not wanting to do so in such a public place. "You're the closest thing to a family I've got. I love you so much." Her voice was now quiet and solemn, and she was fiddling with the buttons on his shirt rather than looking up at him.

Specs laughed, shaking his head at her. "I missed you," he smiled. "Back home?" It was odd thinking that it was theirs. After this weekend, he'd be spending the rest of his life with Tag. After climbing the stairs to get to the apartment, Tag whirled around, kissing Specs suddenly.

"Oh, I'm sure it does," he chuckled but immediately welcomed Tag's sudden kiss. He smiled against her lips, slowly but gently leading her inside the apartment. Once the door was closed, he pushed her up against the door, giving her a deep kiss.
