"See? I'm not the only one who's part of a gang in this room," smirked Risk. "Ada? That's... your sister, right?"

"It wasn't the bloody Eastman Gang," she muttered, and sighed at his question. "I dunno how much you remember of all the stuff I've told you when you was drunk...yeah, Ada was my sister. Short for Adeline."

"Hey, I'm not in it anymore. You don't know how hard it was to get outta that gang," muttered Risk before trying to recall his drunken night with Macbeth. "I sorta remember... That's a pretty name."

"Yeah, it's Jo's middle name," Beth told him. "And that was gonna be my next question. How the hell did you get out? You can't just walk away from those people."

"Yeah, well.. I had to give them a reason to kick me out," he answered, sighing. "Basically, I had to do somethin' that they didn't like."

Risk narrowed his eyes and shot her a look. Sometimes he wondered how well of a cop Macbeth would be. He was pretty sure she'd be better than him.
"I had to ran them out... basically, let a plan fail," he muttered after a few moments. "We were actually goin' after the Brookies -- can you imagine if Spot wasn't there anymore?"

She grimaced at the thought. "Pretty sure I've asked you this before, but how are you not dead yet?"

Risk shrugged. "I'm lucky?"

"We got that in common," she pointed out as the kettle started whistling.
Jo woke up with a squeal and scowled at it. "LOUD!"

"It's okay, Jo," laughed Risk, playfully ruffling her hair before quickly taking the kettle off the fire.
"Let's see.. what would you say would be your worst habit?" he asked curiously as he carefully filled two mugs with hot water.

She laughed at that. "Uh...everything? My entire self?" It was really hard to single out one particular quality. "Well, I push people away. To say the least. Tea bags are in the cabinet. Treat 'em with respect, they're from London."

"Today's a special day, then," chuckled Risk as he reached into the cabinet and rummaged for the tea bags before putting them into the hot water.
"You're actually doin' a pretty good job of pushing people away if you're this close to Adri... and me too, I guess," he said, placing the mug in front of her.

"Yeah, I've got two friends. I'm becoming an absolute socialite," she said with a smirk, wrapping her hands around the hot mug and closing her eyes as the steam rose up to her nose. She looked a bit like she was in a trance. Jo lost interest and crawled under the table, looking for bugs.

"It's better than not having anyone at all. Where would you be with Jo?" he shrugged, taking a seat next to her as he kept an eye on Jo.
